Either that or someschool like Idaho takes the chance because no one really pays attention anyway.

That's career suicide. He is more likely to end up as a QB coach or OC at a program that has a pulse or the NFL. He has plenty of coaches in his network. Someone will offer him a job after enough time has passed that there can be some confidence in his recovery. I don't know if he ever makes HC of a major program again, but his overall football career in coaching is far from over.

Yeah, a friend of mine and I were talking about this last night. He's only 41, so he's got plenty of time to get past this. We were thinking that he'll take the rest of this year and maybe next year to get treatment and get his personal life in order. Then, he probably becomes a quarterback coach in the NFL for a couple of seasons before possibly returning to college as an OC. Or maybe just stays in the NFL as an OC.

He can complete his treatment, start hitting meetings, and Carroll can hire him to coordinate that mess the Seahawks call an offense.
