I don't think we need to panic on Ty's injury. It doesn't sound like it is long term.

You have to remember if Ty doesn't play this week which looks likely we have no backup OT. We signed one to the PS this week, but with Schofield to start if Ty goes down we have nothing behind either tackles, unless we move Louis to OT and slide an OG in. When you have 3 OT's on the active roster and one goes down you are forced to sign one.

I don't see it as a bad sign for Ty's injury long term, I see it more as a depth issue since Schofield is our only reserve OT right now, granted we have some OG's who can play OT, but depth chart wise we only kept 3 OT's. Almost surprised we didn't have an OT on the PS before this that being said.

For this late into the season this is a decent signing. This is a guy that has worked in this style of offense most of his career and has starts at both RT and LT. Gives us decent depth.

I agree with CD - Polumbus is simply an NFL Caliber player - who fits the zone blocking scheme- too.

According to some reports, Ryan Harris will move to LT and Schofield will start at RT for the Vikings game.

I thin kthat is the only option we have at this point. Can't put Schoffield at LT and can't start Polumbus days before signing him.

Major opportunity for Schoffield here. I was curios if we may slide Vaskey over for a game and throw Garcia in there at OG.
