No, they don't.

Cutler was actually REALLY good today. If you look at the line score, it looks like he sucked. But, the offensive pass blocking was bad all day and he escaped several sacks and turned them into positive gains. He also had his top 3 receivers battling injuries - especially Jeffery who was not himself.

The one interception Cutler threw was actually a brilliant play by Matthews.

Actually Cutler mentioned that immediately after the ball left his fingers he was hoping the Matthews would drop the ball. In other words, Cutler recognized the coverage too late and didn't see Matthews right away. It was funny hearing Buck and Aikman gush all over Cutler at half time when he was something like 8-18 for 90 yards. What Cutler did best in the first half was hand the ball to Forte.

I guess since Cutler only had one turnover, that was a major step forward for him? I have to disagree. Cutler has had several instances in the past where, for about three games, he looked like an elite QB, significantly better than what he looked like today. But he always reverts back to the bad Jay. If he can build on what he did today and gradually improve over the course of the season, more power to him. But history shows this probably won't happen.

Derek Carr...didn't look very sharp at all. He overthrew quite a few passes before he went out of the game in the second quarter.

It is amazing how poorly QBs played in the opening week so far. You would think they would be eager to go and be on fire. But then again defenses have been great this opening week too...
The Raiders defense was pretty shitty too. All of my optimism popped like a big silver and black balloon.

Thought Peyton looked awful today. No zip on the ball at all. Unless the pass was under 10 yards to a guy wide open he had no shot at completing it. It wasn't just Baltimore's D either. He just missed throws he use to make. Looked similar to the end of the season when supposedly his poor play was due to injury instead of him finally hitting the end of the road. Gotta be a little nervous if your Denver right now

Thanks a lot.

Take my word for it, it gives me no great pleasure to slag on Oakland. I've have been a Raider fan since the Ken Stabler days. I'd love to see them rule the AFCW again.

I was in and out of that game, but I agree...Cutler was not the problem...some teams have a difficult time building a solid OL and CHI seems to be one of those teams right now.

He left several putts short yesterday...not under duress as you said...Missed 2 wide open deep balls for 6...There is an AFC GM (sad he wouldn't put his name on it) that said recently Manning's balls haven't had much zip consistently throughout camp and PM is on record saying he needs to gloves now to maintain grip when it gets colder due to the neck issues. I think his numbers are going to dropoff as the year goes along again...and we might be seeing his last year if it ends early in DEN.

I think that's probably a little overstated at this point. Definitely a possibility, though.

The Denver defense this year figures to be quite different from what it's been the past several years, since we changed DCs and schemes from a 4-3 to a 3-4. Could have a formidable pass rush and a strong secondary.

They are a top 10 D. They have Top 5 pass rush. So to say that Denvers D sucks is just someone being a Hater or knows nothing about football.

They were top 5 in YPP categories last year, but pretty average in PPG- while being terrible in the redzone. They very well could be a top 5 unit, but it would be completely justified to be skeptical as well.

Broncos D was near the bottom of the league in points allowed and ranked only ninth in sacks last year. I do think that we have a chance to be much better in both areas this year. The poster who wrote that our D "sucks" wasn't too far off the mark if he was referring to last year's squad.

DEF is mostly about pressure, stopping the run and coverage. The Broncos showed well in all 3 yesterday but I agree on BAL OFC...at the same time idk about anybody shredding them up...the edge pressure must be contained or your QB is going to get hit.

luck sucked but then again bills d is very good . under thrown balls maybe he needs a deflator .

all joking aside rookie de anderson 9 tackles 8 solo 3 for loss . but when your cb butler has these numbers it's a bad sign 8 t 4 solo . 2 int and a muffed punt 3 turnovers and alot of flags . well their goes our perfect season but on the bright side colts gave up 36 - 147 yards but 3 plays 73 yards so 33 -74 is a nice start over last year .

No more excuses for Luck. i been saying it for awhile that he isn't that great. He hasn't done much but gets treated like he is a super star. he isn't. Is he good yes but not in the same class as the elites. I know its just 1 game but it just shows what he is. There are no excuses for him anymore.

Overall Colts will have a good year but I don't see Luck winning a championship this year. He still make a lot of bad choices. This isn't an over reaction of 1 game. I been saying this for the last 2 years.

Im not bashing Luck. he is a good QB just not elite yet.
my feelings exactly .. luck just happens to be the new NFL poster child that is why there is so much hype about him
