Patriots owner, 'Deflategate' judge mingle at party

Deflate gate co-conspirators Robert Kraft and Judge Berman seen above laughing at you all.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft mingled with Judge Richard Berman, who overturned the NFL suspension of Tom Brady over his alleged role in Deflategate, at a Hamptons Labor Day party full of media and business power brokers.

Kraft was chatting with Berman at Discovery Communications chief David Zaslav and his wife Pam’s party at their East Hampton estate, also attended by Oprah Winfrey, Martha Stewart, Harvey Weinstein, Lloyd Blankfeinrich, NY Giants co-owner Jon Tisch and wife Lizzie, Katie Couric, and Hilaria and Alec Baldwin.

Brady won the court battle Thursday, when Berman bashed NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for “dispensing his own brand of industrial justice.” The ruling clears Brady to play in Thursday’s season opener.

A rep for the Patriots told Page Six, “It was a chance encounter at a social event with hundreds of guests. There was a brief introduction and an exchange of pleasantries that lasted no more than a couple of minutes.”

Sandra Lee, who arrived with Gov. Andrew Cuomo, had surgery in August for an infection following a double mastectomy, and said, “It has been a difficult summer, but I am feeling so much better.”

They mingled with Sen. Chuck Schumer and Rep. Nancy Pelosi.

Also there: Showtime’s Matt Blank, MSG boss Jim Dolan, CNN’s Jeff Zucker, Tamara Mellon, LionTree’s Aryeh Bourkoff, Blade co-founder Rob Wiesenthal, Gayle King, Tamron Hall, Dan Abrams, Lorne Michaels, Irving Azoff, Jimmy Buffett, Ron Perelman and Jack Welch.

Harry Connick Jr. played New Orleans jazz with a full band, and had the crowd, including Oprah, dancing, while Ron Howard filmed the performance on his iPhone. Harry also joked about some of Discovery’s biggest stars and franchises: “I love ‘Naked & Afraid,’ that’s basically how I describe my wedding night. Even to this day, if I’m naked in the house, my wife is afraid . . . My favorite show is ‘Deadliest Catch.’ When I found out about that show with guys catching crabs, I thought it was going to be a show about Bourbon Street.”

Guests later headed down to a beach bonfire, where the voracious success of Discovery’s “Shark Week” was celebrated with a soaring shark sand sculpture.

It was just a brief introduction. Afterwards, Judge Berman was seeing leaving the party with a briefcase and Robert Kraft's hair piece.

ESPN OTL just had a juicy bit on how this was ALL to make up for spygate, that goodell intentionally destroyed "the tapes" to "save the NFL" and he asked mike martz (rams coach at the time) to say publicly he was ok with the spygate results at the time.

this wont die. this is goodell using ESPN to keep this mess going...what a buffoon he is.

smart people now know ESPN is the NFL's mouthpiece and whatever that network states about the pats is basically a lie.

Well that makes me feel better. I was having a tough time figuring out how a judge could hand down such an atrocious ruling. Just some good old fashion corruption!

as people with merely a functioning brain stem know, anything ESPN says about the patriots is a total fabrication.

be smart!

You should just add this to the running thread on deflategate. WGAFF is more my standard response these days.

I think they were at the same party of 300+ people

I know that's the prevailing thought process among Patriots fans, but I would rather believe a national sports reporting outlet (international in some cases) than any local based sports network.

We are on to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Man, I so wish both teams were at full strength. Hopefully they meet again in the playoffs with no injuries/ suspensions.

WTF was that judge thinking? Why on earth would you attend a party where Robert Kraft was also attending, just days after ruling in his favor?? They say it was a chance encounter but none the less it looks terrible. This will definitely give people ammo to say the fix was in even if it was all innocent.
