Very odd twist to the concussion story

Kurtzke resigns from his post with the NFL but seemingly still involved with Griffins concussion clearance.

An NFL official said Friday that Kurtzke, who told the Redskins on Aug. 27 he would clear Griffin to play only to rule him out 24 hours later, had resigned from the neurological consultant program operated by the league and the NFL players’ union. Kurtzke will remain responsible to determine when to clear Griffin to return to play from this concussion, the official added.

When I read the headline I was sure it was out of protest because of something fishing the team insisted he do with the Griffin case.

the team doesnt have anything to do with that . they cant select an "independent " neurologist. that comes from the NFL

Look, Griffin should be pissed. Guy was named the starter, played minimal snaps in game 1, got the shit kicked out of him in game 2 and that was it due to the mysterious "concussion" which wasn't a concussion? Coach names a new starter in turn over machine Cousins and Griffin is supposed to remain quiet and take this? Look, Gruden didn't like Griffin from day 1 and most "good" coaches will mold an offensive to fit his teams talent and QB's skill set which Gruden has refused to do. My guess is Gruden will be gone before Griffin and if he is not, it won't be long as I believe SM will go get "his guy" to take the team to a new level.

I really wonder after all this if Griffin still feels this way, we don't know for sure if this is the case.

Geezzz, whatever Dad...We are now in week 3 of the supposed concussion and still not cleared. It is obvious to the knowledgeable fan that Gruden wanted Cousins to head up his offense and not RG3. Given the fact that RG3 has had very limited snaps in preseason, you can't tell me he was given ample opportunity to retain his starting job. This whole situation smells like a skunk so it must be a skunk. Can't wait until Gruden is dismissed from the organization as I never liked the hire from the beginning. This is with or without RG3. I have zero faith in Gruden or his ability to lead this team.

again if you can show me how the skins have influenced an independent dr then i am all ears please show me one scrap of evidence , not theories , not innuendos and i will bite

now does this mean i dont think gruden wanted some one other then 3 at qb ? no , that is a separate issue i also suspect if 3 wasnt hurt he would be the starter week one

and further if danny wants 3 as the starter he certainly could have directed that after the injury . yet so far nothing he could have ordered it last season

perhaps just perhaps danny does want 3 as the starter yet he let gruden make the call just as he did when he benched him for colt

now gruden could very well be a dud but stop with 3 didnt get a chance BS . he was handed the job day one , he was handed it year 2 and he was handed it year 3 and 2 of those seasons his performance didnt warrant it
