Right now I see our 5 WR's as DT, Sanders, Latimer, Fowler, & Burse for returning. If we decide to cut Bolden since we have Burse then I could see us keeping Caldwell but only if.
I would like to see what Fowler could do on returns. I remember last year looking up and posting his return stats at MSU and they were pretty good. I have to think that he has least gotten some looks returning in practice.
Following the game on the espn game cast I was surprised that James Casey apparently fielded a punt. Not sure if that actually happened or if it was an error in the game cast.
My dawg Kayvon Webster looked pretty good tonight.![]()
These are the stats that stick out to me above any others especially with the OL that we have...
Our QB's dropped back 40 times in this game. The OL gave up 0 sacks and only 1 QB hit the entire game. Now that is dominant no matter how you look at it.
The other is that we averaged 5.3 yards per carry. The OL dominated this game. Just couldn't quite connect in the passing game but the OL did their job and did it well.
Definitely encouraging. Starting three guys who had never started before last week isn't exactly the typical recipe for success.
Spencer Lanning making a push for Colquit. Andre Caldwell wants to remind us not to forget about him (yeah one catch and he's had 3 years here, but Elway seems to love him).
Ndule looked good.
Is this sarcasm? Because the Kayvon that I watched had like 3 penalties, allowed like 3-4 catches right in front of him, and just looked out of it.
Saw he got half a sack. Anyone know if he was playing DE or NT on that play? Also noticed in the box score that Wiliams and Kilgo wach had a sack. Thought that was encouraging, since I've been kind of worried about our NT position, particularly after losing Austin.
Yes!
Ok sorry still trying to get used to you new guys and the way that you communicate. Obviously sarcasm isn't always the easiest to pick up. And sometimes what others see is not what I see in the game. But yes he had a terrible game. He better watch out because some of those young guys are pushing for this roster. I actually like Webster and was hoping the team would give him a shot at Safety with the way he flies around the field but he just doesn't seem to be playing at the level I have come to expect from him.
I speak fluent sarcasm if you ever need an interpreter :-DOk sorry still trying to get used to you new guys and the way that you communicate. Obviously sarcasm isn't always the easiest to pick up. I just might with all of these new guys on here. I'm not always the best with sarcasm. I use it all the time but for some reason can't pick it up myself.I speak fluent sarcasm if you ever need an interpreter :-D
No worries. I should have added a wink... Webster is a player I personally know and have met a few times... Just frustrated by his lack of penalties. He has great tools but I was really hoping he'd cut back on some of those things. Obviously just one game, but I was really hoping to see a strong PS game out of him.
He was playing DE if I remember right. And yes it is definitely promising to see Kilgo and Sly get sacks from the NT position. Kilgo especially looked really good in this one. He had about 4 plays in this one where he just blew by his guy to blow up the play in the backfield.
