Right now I see our 5 WR's as DT, Sanders, Latimer, Fowler, & Burse for returning. If we decide to cut Bolden since we have Burse then I could see us keeping Caldwell but only if.

I would like to see what Fowler could do on returns. I remember last year looking up and posting his return stats at MSU and they were pretty good. I have to think that he has least gotten some looks returning in practice.

Following the game on the espn game cast I was surprised that James Casey apparently fielded a punt. Not sure if that actually happened or if it was an error in the game cast.

I'll have to go back and watch the game but I don't think he did. It seemed like #6 (can't remember his name off the top of my head), Burse, and I think Bolden are the only 3 that I saw tonight.

These are the stats that stick out to me above any others especially with the OL that we have...

Our QB's dropped back 40 times in this game. The OL gave up 0 sacks and only 1 QB hit the entire game. Now that is dominant no matter how you look at it.

The other is that we averaged 5.3 yards per carry. The OL dominated this game. Just couldn't quite connect in the passing game but the OL did their job and did it well.

I did hope that Ball would show a bit more in this game. His rookie year he showed some great promise at the back end of the season. Just doesn't seem to always see the hole and seems a bit cautious to just stick his foot and go. Love what Hillman is showing though. He could be a huge playmaker for this offense.

Spencer Lanning making a push for Colquit. Andre Caldwell wants to remind us not to forget about him (yeah one catch and he's had 3 years here, but Elway seems to love him).

Ndule looked good.

Is this sarcasm? Because the Kayvon that I watched had like 3 penalties, allowed like 3-4 catches right in front of him, and just looked out of it.

Definitely encouraging. Starting three guys who had never started before last week isn't exactly the typical recipe for success.

We actually have the youngest OL in the entire NFL. So if they can find success early this year and stay consistent then yeah the Broncos look very promising moving forward at the OL position. Obviously this is still preseason and obviously the Texans sat Wilfork and Watt but I still have to give it to them for what they have been able to do. I'm excited to rewatch the game tonight and just focus on those guys and see how it actually looked.

Saw he got half a sack. Anyone know if he was playing DE or NT on that play? Also noticed in the box score that Wiliams and Kilgo wach had a sack. Thought that was encouraging, since I've been kind of worried about our NT position, particularly after losing Austin.

He was playing DE if I remember right. And yes it is definitely promising to see Kilgo and Sly get sacks from the NT position. Kilgo especially looked really good in this one. He had about 4 plays in this one where he just blew by his guy to blow up the play in the backfield.

Ok sorry still trying to get used to you new guys and the way that you communicate. Obviously sarcasm isn't always the easiest to pick up. And sometimes what others see is not what I see in the game. But yes he had a terrible game. He better watch out because some of those young guys are pushing for this roster. I actually like Webster and was hoping the team would give him a shot at Safety with the way he flies around the field but he just doesn't seem to be playing at the level I have come to expect from him.

No worries. I should have added a wink... Webster is a player I personally know and have met a few times... Just frustrated by his lack of penalties. He has great tools but I was really hoping he'd cut back on some of those things. Obviously just one game, but I was really hoping to see a strong PS game out of him.

I just might with all of these new guys on here. I'm not always the best with sarcasm. I use it all the time but for some reason can't pick it up myself.

Yeah I was hoping to see him take that next step too. He definitely has the tools to be a big time press corner in this league. I remember seeing him against the Cowboys fighting with Dez and doing a decent job considering the task. I was hoping that would be what we would see moving forward. And again was kind of hoping they would give him a shot at Safety as he has the skill set just would need the reps.

Wow, that is awesome! I will be sure to watch him when I watch the game tomorrow. Usually don't expect a lot from rookies playing inside on the DL, particularly a guy taken in the sixth round. Figures to be very important to have some guys to rotate at NT, since that is such a physically demanding position.

I watched the game on NFL.net and the cast was nuts made no sense it was nuts .. it was bouncing all over the place it was showing play after play of the same thing and basically skipping 3 plays to watch one play 3 times , weird as heck .
