I don't see any of that as talent, just something that can be taught. Talent has to do with ability, generally natural ability, in this case physical skills.......again Wilson is more polished because as you've stated of what he's been taught or learned. Griffin certainly wasn't selected #2 overall because he was Andrew Luck like behind center, but because he had the physical skills that propelled him to become a top pick.

Lets agree to disagree. If this were the Arena League, RG3 would be a op QB. Because in backyard ball with Pads he would excel. Again Wilson came in with an understanding of how to read defenses, not to the level of Luck, but much higher than Griffin for sure. You do realize that not until his senior year was Griffin even being considered to be drafted as a QB. Most scouting reports for 2011 had him projected as a possible Wr convert. But I digress, Wilson has developed the talent to read defenses. He has developed the talent to protect himself which is why he hasnt missed a game despite taking as many hits and actually MORE hits than RG3 has over their NFL careers. Without his legs and the option based offense, Griffin has become average at best. Wilson has been a key part of two super Bowl appearances. And yes I will say it, put RG3 on that Seahawks team and they dont sniff the playoffs.

OK, we agree to disagree! BTW: Wilson has developed the ability to protect himself and the ability read defenses. I would agree with you about RG3 in Seattle provided Seattle was as poor an organization as DC has been, were not coached by Pete Carroll, and were minus the talent that Wilson had as supporting cast. It might have taken them a year, but they would take the unpolished Griffin, prepared him and won back to back, and possibly back SB's. It's what professional organizations do with raw talent. One other thing, put Wilson here and we're looking at maybe the same thing in 2012, possibly 5 or 6 and 11/10 in 2013, and 4or 5 wins in 2014.

Pete Carroll would have never taken on Griffin and his Ego to begin with. And a huge reason why Griffin hasnt developed to this point is because he felt he didnt need to which made it virtually impossible for the coaches to TEACH him to be more than an option QB.

Again differing organizations, Griffin doesn't start in 2012 in Seattle and because of that he learns that the privilege that grew his big headedness wouldn't fly in a professionally run organization. Beyond that if he doesn't learn to do film study, won't learn to read defenses, operate in the pocket and protect himself under Pete Carroll, he simply would have been one and done. Griffin wants to be......blah....blah.....blah, until this team hired SM, they had no idea how to help him get there and there are still questions about team direction because of Gruden. It took Pete Carroll a few bites at the apple to learn what works at this level, we don't have the benefit of his experiences in Gruden.

So basically you are sticking to the concept that every thing that Ails Griffin is because of the organization and had litle or nothing to do with the player himself. He wasnt a part of the problem, simply a victim of going to the wrong team that didnt know how to develop him. That about sum it up??

Absolutely not! He was indeed part of the problem, but became a larger part because he was allowed to be. Tell me how would you have handled this kid if you were in charge and had the backing of the organization? Dealt with his privileged stance? Inability to read defenses? Thought that a playbook had something to do with actors? Had no footwork nor pocket presence? And belived that sliding was part of a dance?

E)
A trip to IR around week six after he tuck n'runs to avoid a sack instead of throwing it away and gets injured.

See thats the thing, I would have never gotten to the point where I learned about his sense of entitlement issues, or any of those problems. To me from the moment his name came up the red flags would have been, runnig QB from basically an option offense and a system that reportedly did not stress a playbook concept. Who was the last running QB to succeed?? Answer... some one born before Rg3 was even an itch in his daddys cammies. Throw in the fact that it would cost half a draft to get him, and he would have been off the table.

As for how I would have dealt with him if forced to do so?? First off he would not have been named the starter, nor even the backup for that matter. He would not have seen the field until such time as I thought he could at least manage to read a defense. But instead of catering to his style of play, I would have figured out if he could become a real QB, if not I think it would have been time to admit the mistake and roll on.

I have been saying that since the day that they drafted him! Seem very few others have taken this stance because of the high price they paid in getting him. My position is if you're going to invest that much for the privilege, you'd better be damned sure that he's properly prepared to give you the greatest return on that investment. This organization took a raw talent, put him in a catered penthouse, sucked his dick, then questioned his ego. There was no structure from which to learn or forced to learn anything, just a bunch of paid hands attempting to protect their own jobs, sell tickets and hope.

I thought it contingent upon NOT passing a physical at the beginning of 2016 footbAll year for the 16 mill option to kick in.

I hope for Option B but truly have minimal expectations this year.
It is.
