Thompson is not worth 16 million dollars- the circumstances obviously drove that up- that and the rising cap. I mean- what after that playoff performance and everything annd the fact that he is 24 years old and improving, and that he never gets hurt, and that he shares agents with LeBron, and the fact that its not like the Cavs would be able to use the cap room it would save on him for someone else since they are already over thecap---- I mean- with where the Cap is going you could justify 12...the fact he knew they could replace him and how he kicked ass at theright time really worked out for him and it sounds like he is going to get 16 a season.....all though apparently its not finished yet.

This isn't MLB where any player can get paid any amount.
You can't look at like if James makes 20, Dragic can't be worth 18.
It doesn't work like that.

I've never met him, but he seems like a nice enough kid.

I think Whiteside is a solid NBA center- I just dont know how you can corronate a guy after3 months of play after he gothimself blackballed from the league for a period of years because of his attitude. Im just saying id want to see a guy play for more than 3 months before I offered him a large section of my salary cap.--andit really concerns me that he got a 2nd chance and still couldnt walk the straight and narrow without his coach having to straighten him out publicly. You know if he resorts to doing it publically its probably be done a number of times behind closed doors already.

He's an idiot. We already knew that.....And in pretty much all of the games that they did play together due to injury/sickness to our 2 PF's, the starting PF in those games were Henry Walker or Udonis. Guys who are typically end of the bench guys.

Not one Heat fan is making lofty expectations, we're reserved, yet excited to see the direction our team is taking. We're not talking about years of dominance, potential dynasty, and close to 70-win seasons like you are. You're the one who's a typing contradiction, not us. We still have to fill out our roster, but at least the contracts the Heat got aren't crazy like paying Thompson $80 million. You can make fun of the Heat landing the number 10 pick in the draft.
