na while football would be a west, East split I would bet the same would happen with other sports. play your division full out and only a few of the other side.

Sounds good to the newbies, but how do you convince Arizona and ASU to accept that they won't play as many games in California or Washington going forward?

If the PAC wants to expand and they don't want New Mexico en sech, then they will have to be the first to move on Texas and Oklahoma and make arrangements before the other conferences do it. The BIG and SEC have a lot of options at their disposal but not like Texas or Oklahoma.

If it's going to happen the PAC will make the first move.

Not necessarily but they are all connected and could make a claim as being part of the Southeast. At least it's a dignified region, unlike the Big12, who has an outcast in WV.
I don't see how you can give the B1G a hard time about their name and give a pass to the SEC. Texas and Missouri have absolutely no claim to be part of the southeast. Arkansas and Kentucky are really a stretch.

Remember, you'll be one of the founding members of the New Big 8.
And, you'll like.

Sorry, the Oklahoma legislature isn't letting you go anywhere without us. We're the fifth wheel on the Sooner Schooner.

I am still trying to figure out why in God's name the Big 10 would ever want Oklahoma??
I can understand Kansas for the Big 10, but Oklahoma makes little sense for the Big 10.

OU doesnt bring the all important academics or TV subscribers.
Plus it brings quite a bit of headaches to pull them loose from Okie Jr.

it is a national brand, but the Big 10 wants academics and market eyeballs first.
They dont need flagship brands as they already have tOSU, UM, PSU, and Neb.

Oklahoma is probably no better than the 5th best choice for any Big 10 expansion.

Hey. 38-35.

What are the odds that Stoops decides to punt again to 1 of the fastest players in the country?

I would love to have heard his explanation to that one. "I thought pinning them on their 15 with 50 seconds left just was not good enough (with a 7pt lead). I was going for the 10 with 45. That is much better"

Or that he would waste his final timeout.

Texas will never join a conference with teams that have as much money and power as they do. Stanford and USC would tell Texas to stick the LHN up their ass.

I see nothing Kansas offers to the B1G. They would be near the bottom in academic standing, offer no real media market that the B1G would want, and don't make much money. They have a solid basketball program, but otherwise nothing is really appealing.

Then why did the B1G add Nebraska? They actually are dead last in academics in the B1G and offer no real media market whatsoever. Just saying.....

Nebraska is a national brand. They have a larger fanbase than almost every other school in the nation. Kansas? Not so much.

Also, Nebraska is ranked higher than Kansas from an academics standpoint, as well.
