With the return of Josh and DDJ a little later, Joey is likely gone.

I think Josh bumps Gallo to AAA ... and then now it is looking like DDJ bumps Martin to AAA as a possibility.

I'm thinking Rua goes to AAA before Martin, Martin makes more sense as a 4th OF type, especially since Rua should be playing everyday anyway

Good point to think about....Has Martin shown he can play either COF spot? Lord knows, you can pinch hit him.

I agree 100% Rua needs to be playing, somewhere, everyday.

If he can play CF he can play the corners but if he comes in DDJ would shift over to one of the other OF spots

BOY...logic say's you're 100% right here but Martin sure needs the demotion. Rua hasn't earned anything but being a right handed hitter may be just enough in this case.

If Martin was going to be the starter I'd say yes, but if he's just going to be the 4th OFer/Defensive replacement then I'd say he's fine, the fact that Rua is RHed does put something in his favor

Have you ever thought about how many AA players we have on this team. And I mean about half a season of AA at the most. Martinez, Chi Chi, Odor, Gallo and could be missing someone else along the way who has been up here this year. These are not guys sitting on the bench. They are starting. Pretty amazing when you think about it.

Rua ... like Odor ahead of him jumped from AA to ML last year.

DDJ ... never got above AA in the HOU system.

Jumping from AA to the ML roster isn't that uncommon though.

That's what happens. Like when Martin came in for Rua that other game ... Gallo moved to LF and Martin took over in CF.

If Martin is a defensive replacement ... he plays CF.
