You have already stated that losing a SB ends the dynasty...yet you agree with his post that completely contradicts that.

Yeah. In his scenario, i could see how people could view it as a dynasty. I wouldnt agree entirely but i could see how that could work. Its an open ended definition, which is why i keep saying its my opinion.

To me Dynasty means multiple consecutive Titles.

Yankees.
Canadians.
Packers.

There are many mini runs including Patriots.

See? Another opinion.

I can see that as well. Its tough to say as there is no definition...just opinions. I personally think a loss in a title game ends it, but then again i also think multiple titles mixed with a sustained run of division titles and deep playoff runs can do it. Matter of perspective...

Yup. I also believe the term Elite is so overused it is almost meaningless.

Don't even get me started on "elite". Doesn't Ron Jaworski have like 9-10 "elite" QBs every year?

you left out Celtics...

there was a time when 20 consecutive winning seasons and playing in 8 of the first 30 super bowls in the teams first 35 years of existence would qualify. Course....a redskin fan could never see that as any kinda dynasty or anything like that...lol

Skins were 5 of he first 26. Love me some Redskins/Cowboys games. The NFL is better when both teams contend at the same time.

How about players giving 110 percent?

Umm...that's freakin' impossible.

But I digress...

I'm old as dirt but my sports memories only start up about 1963. Not all that impressed with the leather helmet days.

love that cowboy / redskin history! :suds:

The #1 all-time NFL rivalry (in my opinion).

Because MJ took those two years off they only had 3 consecutive years. Islanders did four and that was it. Oilers had that nice run too.

But Yankees, Canadians and Celtics had 5 year runs as well as most Titles in their respective leagues. Packers as well.

But that's just my opinion as to what the word dynasty means.

Maybe I'm missing your point, but when did the Packers win 5 SB's in a row?

Championships. In fact their first two Superbowls weren't called Superbowls when played.

OK. Pre-SB era. So your definition is 4 titles in a row or more. Fair enough.
