Series Thread: Bullpen challenged Rangers hosting the surprising Twins

Just a matter of time till odor got the call back. Hopefully he's got his swagger back. I am not a fan of putting Gallo in the OF. Brilliant idea. Let's take him completely out of his element during his first foray into the bigs.

I am not on board with bringing back Odor at this point and hate the idea of moving Gallo to another position.

Been wrong most of the season on what happens next, who goes and stays, and how well we play once those pieces are in place.

So far, my prediction factor is below the Mendoza line. What can I say?

Only thing that might be worthwhile is picking up a solid arm or 2 for the pen. Not a closer, just something to give us somewhere to go besides Kela and Tolley.

I'm not totally sure I understand why they called him up at this time. Right now they have Rosales, Alberto, EA, and now Odor as middle infielders. Granted, Rosales can play any position in the infield, but that's a lot of damn middle infielders. Of course, it doesn't help that our options are so limited because they keep dropping like flies. Hopefully Rua can get back to game shape soon.

You may be right based on what happened with Profar but maybe Gallo is mentally tough enough to handle it.

Matt Harrison had an effective outing numbers wise. I haven't heard about velocity. He went 6.2 innings throwing 98 pitches. 58 of those pitches were strikes. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits and 4 walks. He also struck out 5 guys. His return is certainly not imminent, but you can see him making progress towards that end.

We tied the Ranger record today for the most quality starts in a row. They tied the rotation of Jenkins, Matlack, Medich, Alexander, and Ellis. That 1978 rotation was a pretty good one and these guys in this current rotation are to be commended.

How do you get them on and back off the 40 man? Moreland could play RF in an emergency.

The 5 k's is nice. Control obviously not there yet. Sounds like he may have gotten some GIDP balls.
