To be fair, Beasley had a lot more rest throughout the season.

Obviously.

It's the NBA Finals though.
If you're young and for the most part healthy, I feel you shouldn't need/take the same amount of minutes rest that you did in the regular season.

In Beasley's honor, I think I'll fire one up right now.

:doobs:
Beasley is one of the worst busts in NBA history. What a pathetic waste of talent. I can give a guy like Thabeet a pass because he never should have been drafted that high. Beasley was just an asshole and squandered his talent.

I have no clue what is going to happen tomorrow down at the Q. My brother is going actually. I really think LeBron knows what winning this series could do to his legacy- winning in a situation that the majority of people think is hopeless. It would without a doubt be his best and defining moment of his career.

So much has to happen though. Curry cant get hot- well- at least Curry and Thompson cant get hot in the same game or that game is pretty much over. Different Cavs role players need to have big games on certain nights. Like James Jones is or Delly, or Mozgov or JR- one or two of those guys need to have a big night together. It would sure be nice to have JR Smith go off one game and give the Cavs like 21 points or something. Delly needs to keep playing great defense- if he gets in foul trouble the Cavs really do not have a backup PG- I mean- maybe Shumpert....but damn- never in my wildest dreams could i imagine playing Delly 35+ minutes (likely even more than that) in a Finals game.

This Cavs team really does remind me of the last 2 teams LeBron had in Cleveland. Those teams played GREAT GREAT defense, and had three point shooters to space the floor- but their best role players were probably guys like Delonte West, Mo Williams, to a certain extent Boobie Gibson- This team has better role players.

Windhorst was amazed the Cavs won. Playing Golden State at home when they have all of their players. Could you even imagine if the Cavs had all their players and Golden State came into Cleveland missing Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Mo Speights? IT would be pure Cavs domination without a second thought......NO other team--- and imean that NO OTHER TEAM IN THE NBA would have a snowballs chance in hell in the Finals if you took their 2nd, and 3rd and 6th best player off the roster.

it just shows how truly great LeBron is- and how he is just so freaking locked in and playing such incredible basketball right now. I truly hope he can finish it off and put something on his resume that will immediately go to the very top and be his defining moment.

I said at the beginning of the post season that I thought LeBron still had his best ball in him- that we have not yet seen his Jordan's The Shot, or Jordan's fade away against Russell. Maybe, just maybe- that moment is coming. I know if they win it- that Game 2 shot in Chicago will go down in history- it already has to a certain extent.

Cannot wait until game 3. this Cavs team keeps again and again, ripping through adversity and defying everyones expectations. I still cannot believe what I am watching at times.

Lets hope that the rest ofthe Finals will be as entertaining as the first 2. We are positioned to possibly see an all-timer with how these first two have played out. The Warriors deserve to be where they are and deserve their accolades. Lets see how it plays out.

Do you guys agree with me that if LeBron could pull off a win without Kyrie, Love and Varejao- and win a title against a team like the Warriors who where a heavy favorite BEFORE Kyrie went down- that only lost 3 home games all season before last night- that have the reigning MVP- that had an offense and defense ranked in the top 2 in the league-

that this win- if he gets it (which admittedly is a LONG LONG LONG LONG....LONG LONG LONG...LOGN SUPER LONG way away) will go down as LeBron's greatest accomplishment?

I do. I without a doubt think this would be, thus far, and likely ever, the defining and top moment of his entire career. If he comes back to Cleveland, loses his 2 all star teammates and Varejao (who is the only person he had any chemistry with coming into the year), and beats the heavily favored Warriors- and does it the same year he returns to Cleveland and gives the City its first championship in over 50 years- it will raise his status to previously unreached levels. -In my opinion anyway....

So far- when I think of LeBron- I think of two moments and neither are in the NBa Finals. I think of Game 5 in Detroit where he scored 28 of the Cavs last 30 points and was super human- AND I remember Game 6 in Boston where he finally broke the Celtics with one of the best performances in NBA history where he went for 45, 15 and 4 on 19/26 shooting on a great Celtics defense.

Game 2 was pretty damn impressive though. 39, 16 and 11 on the road in the Finals is pretty crazy. I rarely see LeBron's emotion- and he went nuts after the win.

Well he has had chances. So far Lebron is 0-2 to win the game. The first fadeway jumper was forced, the second drive it looked like there was contact but he usually makes those shots, just rolled off the rim. The rim hasnt liked him of late, but that's the way it goes.

Lebron I hope is due for a good shooting night hopefully some role player can get hot and pour in some jumpers. JR, Jones, maybe FUCKING MIKE MILLER haha

It is a long way away. We will see how they play at home with the crowd and how GS responds and Kerr with the adjustments. It would crazy if Lebron kept it up and averaging 40 10 and 10 in the series.

That would be legendary.

eh, I don't think so. Cavs pulled off a great defensive game and imposed their will, but I doubt VERY seriously if the Warriors play that crappy a game twice. we'll see I guess...

Beasley played all 48 minutes in game 82, and finished stronger than he started.

Not considering OT, someone please explain to me why most starters in these Finals shouldn't easily be able to play 40 minutes +.

Between all the TV tineouts and team timeouts, it really shouldn't be that hard.

82 games + 20ish playoff games is a lot of basketball. These dudes are busted up right now.

Yep...faux MVP. Hard to believe that a jump shooting team like GS can beat Lebron. The best thing that happenned to the Cavs as far as this match up was not having Love and perhaps even Irving. The team the Cavs field now is much better defensively on the perimeter which is proving to be a sore spot for Golden State as they settle for contested 3 after contested 3. Curry had an epically bad game at home in the finals for an MVP. I don't think he came to 50% of the intensity shown by Lebron.

The truth right now is that this series could go either way. GS talks about Curry not continuing to have bad games, while the Cavs fans mention that Lebron won't shoot under 33% again and will get more calls at home. If one looks at it objectively, the Cavs have been the better team through two games. We shall see.

Anyone notice how GS completely lost momentum after JR Smith fouled out?

Yes....GS did not continue to get bailed out by a bone head. They pretty much have had the game in hand going into the last 5 minutes both nights. If Lebron and Blatt figure out no more ISOs and pull JR Smith, the Warriors don't stnd a chance...LOL.

I thought this to be true until game 2....GS not beating a short handed Cavs team AT HOME is concerning. One man beat them...one man.

You might be right, but Bogut, Green, Curry and Barnes better start showing up. Otherwise, momentum will shift to the best player on the planet.
