Oh I couldn't agree more on both points. The Dubs getting bad calls is nothing new. Have watced that happen a lot during the reg season and in the playoffs. But, when they're playing well they can usually overcome those calls. Lastnight was just bad.
They took Delly off of Klay because he was getting used badly. The alternative was to put him on Curry and it appeared to slow him down. But come on. For people to say the reason he shot poorly was solely because of Delly is just not being honest. Because when Delly was guarding Klay Curry was missing shots then too.
Curry had a couple of shots literally go in the basket and then bounce right back out. It happens...that's what EVERY shooter experiences from time to time. But, Curry being the most prolific shooter in the game right now will bounce back. I wonder what the game will look like when Curry gets his 40 point night...and if it will be a close game or not.
First of all, Klay has a significant height advantage on Delly, Curry does not.
Secondly, Yes, of course part of it was Steph having an off-night. We won't see that poor of a performance from Curry again, regardless of how well Delly plays.
But we Cavs fans have been hearing for literally 12 straight games now... "Yeah their defense was ok but the Bulls/Hawks/Warriors just had an off day. Those are shots they usually make"
At some point you have to recognize the trend in front of you.
