Exactly I think the lying is the worst part of it all....it's bad when you actually believe your own BS and I think Tom does.

It's truly unfortunate.

Oh, look it's the NEXT Patriots story that nobody is going to give a shit about come September, NOT TO MENTION that "probably" cheating doesn't establish any sort of PROOF of cheating whatsoever. So what exactly is the argument here? That they didn't deserve to win the Super Bowl? Because you'd have to go back to at least 2011 to find a team that didn't win the SB on some bullshit. The NFL inspected those balls prior to kickoff, do you really think they are going to implicate THEMSELVES in this mess? NOT A CHANCE. Finally a Super Bowl that wasn't decided by the refs and now everyone cries about the ball being deflated. * on this Super Bowl? * on like the last 3 so quit whining about this one because a month from now nobody is going to care about this anymore. And for the record, I am pretty far from being a Patriots fan.

Read the report as you're obviously not up to speed...

If Brady wanted a better grip on the ball, why not wear a glove?

The NFL inspected the balls prior to kickoff? No, I doubt it. And, the NFL is not a democracy. They do not have the burden of proof. 'Probably' is all you are going to get because no Patriot employee is going to come forward as an eye witness and no one else would have had access. But 'probably' is going to be good enough in this case. There will be a punishment.

And the asterisk will go next to Brady's name. That dream he had about having the same legacy as Joe Montana is gone now. Totally gone. And yes, it was important to him. He might surpass Joe and get his fifth ring, but the asterisk will taint his career achievement. Outside of Boston, he will always be known as a cheater and second fiddle to Montana.

The Patriots have been caught cheating too many times during Brady's career. He is now the Arod/Roger Clemens/Barry Bonds of football.

You clearly have no clue what happened and should stick with the sport of basketball. First off the deflated balls were in the AFC Championship game not the Super Bowl. Secondly the balls were manipulated after the refs had checked the balls so they were not aware that the balls had air let out of them.

So those are 2 items to start out with that are incorrect on your part. Stick to basketball please.

I've been hearing on the radio today that whatever punishment is handed down, if any, could happen in a matter of days.

I mostly just saw it on the ticker on the bottom of my screen on my Jet Blue flight, but the wording wasn't exactly strong: Patriots probably deflated balls; Brady likely knew?

What kind of report is that? We pretty much all said that day 1 and didn't need 4 months or a 300 page report to do so.

Apologizing in advance (heck Strongo did it!!!) if I'm understating what is in the report because I really don't care enough to read it or even the stories about it...

Look if he did it, he ruined his own career, period. Went from possibly being GOAT to scrub. If he did not do it, he better have dam good proof he didn't. There will be no *.....that SB was played with clean, full balls. Rip him for being a liar if you want, I have no issue with that. Enough with the *. I am sure we can place an * next to every NFL team is we really wanted to.

He didn't ruin his career. He's a HOF'r as soon as hes eligible. I look at it this way. He got caught. That's it nothing more.

He should just say "Bill made me do it"...

According to some, he did. I guess it depends on what you think.

Moments after the report came out, up until Brady's agent released a statement?

"The report doesn't even say Brady cheated!"

Moments after Brady released the statement through his agent (like a coward):

"The report was a witch hunt! The league was just out to get Tom Brady!"

Which is it? Pick your poison and stick with it. Stop flopping. Just tell the truth.

Truer words have never been spoken.

And you haven't read the report. Why is that? Afraid you'll find out that it is in fact a hatchet job?

As with any "Independent Investigation", the league got exactly what it paid for. A report that implicates what the league office asked them to implicate. When you pay for something, you want what you pay for. Goodell wanted something on the Patriots. Over a four month period Ted Wells could not find any concrete evidence. So they did the next best thing and swayed the report through very carefully crafted words like, 'probably', 'may have', 'could have' and 'might', never once say with certainty or conviction 'did'.

Like the reports that said, Artificial sweeteners were safe. (Shooter).
