I would think OL is a much bigger need if we're looking down the line or if injury happens ... if Gardner starts at RG who's our backup at either Tackle spot? If either Peters or Johnson go down what do we do?

I hear ya Rey, probably Dennis Kelly, I almost think they are going to have to sign some veteran backups

Apparently the Eagles just traded away their 4th round pick for a 2016 3rd round to the Lions. Alleged reason being that pretty much all O-linemen they liked (and valued for the 3rd-5th round) have been taken. I say 3rd, simply because I feel that they would have taken an O-lineman rather than that ILB if anyone of their choice still had been there; with them taken, I think they went best player available, keeping depth and future in mind.

As an outsider looking in, I think Chip Kelly is way too full of himself and is really running the Eagles into the ground. That deal sending Mccoy away was a joke. The Foles deal looks dumb. Then he tried to make his biggest mistake yet by trading a kings ransom for an unproven QB. If I were the Eagles, I would be letting Chip Kelly's know that he's on a short leash if he keeps making these dumbass deals.

We upgraded both CB spots. Maxwell, Rowe and Thurmond. That's a huge upgrade over last year. That was the worst part of the team.

They also have a young cheap cost controlled receiving corps for 3 years. I really like that position moving forward. To keep DeSean and Maclin we'd have had 20 more million tied up every year.

I thought they gave Brad Jones more than a 500k signing bonus. He probably gets cut as well as Acho and Goode. Hicks becomes the 4th inside guy and special teams player. Meanwhile outside they have Graham, Barwin, Smith and Braman.

That deal is tame compared to what they are paying Miles Austin. How is Austin ever going to see the field?

Yep, although I would rather Austin as my 4th or 5th wide out than Jeff Mahel. I think Austin also will bring some veteran presence to that receiving corp. I think he helps develop Mathews and Ahgolor more and hopefully they can get something out of Huff. The receiving corp has a lot of talent they are just short on experience.

The Austin deal makes pretty much no sense now that we drafted Agholor ... unless Huff proves to be a scrub. Did he get any guaranteed money?

Yep, I hated that move off the bat. Oh and guess what? The guy who gave cutler that contract is gone. take it from a Bears fan. I know a shitty front office making dumb moves when I see it (like I said, I'm a Bears fan). The Eagles front office has been shitty and they have made countless dumbass moves this offseason.

They keep thinking they can get linemen later, and they don't because other teams take them. Trading that 4th, I think they did it because they targeted linemen who all got taken. They should have taken Glowinski because he was a great scheme fit. Instead Seattle got him later in the round.
