Might be if Williams falls to five and the Giants want him. At ninth overall, Scherff is worth it then. We get a second and another pick this year or a first and a later round pick next year. Depending on how desperate the Giants or another suitor for our pick is, we can squeeze more out of the deal.

Could be. SM has been clear he wants more picks this year. It's just a matter of which round at this point.

Gotta give him credit. Scot has done an excellent job of letting none of us know WHO he likes the most at the top of the draft. Can't wait til Thurs.

I wouldn't expect him not to, tbh.

What I liked hearing was his comment regarding the board being set early and having a calmness in the war room barring some kind of last minute calls for trade downs.

I've heard calls for trades will start in earnest by tomorrow and into draft day. I trust Scot has figured out most if not all trade contingencies and has gathered the corporate intelligence he needs to make prudent decisions later this week. But, most importantly, I have a lot of confidence that he's got the wisdom to pick who we need, especially in the later rounds.

So about a week or so ago, SMs son tweeted a picture of himself and a player. Happened that they were in the draft room with the big board to his right (no, you couldn't read any names...). The tweet was almost Immediately deleted.

The pass rusher is the prevailing thought but I don't think there's a chance in hell we'll be drafting for Mariota. If he falls to us, which I don't think we will, a phone call from Philadelphia's area code will come right after the team with the fourth pick passes on Mariota.

the eagles are going to have to get a 1st rd pick from cleveland to make that happen.
