How is the season, or the show in general?

I personally think it is over-rated, but it is still very good. The acting is great and the writing is first class.

The season, I like the show already and watched the 1st 2 seasons. I want to hate the guy, and yet I want him to win.

But now that he is where he is, I'm worried things might be downhill from here.

Just finished the 3rd season of HoC just moments ago... It did a good job tying up loose ends, but I wasn't as impressed with this season as I was the first 2. It seems like the writers wanted to make this season more personal for the characters.

I liked what the writer, Tim, brought to the dynamic of Frank & CLaire's characters. The monologues were awesome. The writers/producers did a good job with peeling back the layers and revealing the truth behind them. But for me the main draw was the intensity of the rise to power. They kept that as part of the show, but in the end it felt like this season was more about the characters/relationships and not as much about the politics. I hope that this season sets up for an intense season 4. I also hope the split (or healing) between Frank & Claire goes swiftly and they don't let it devour the entire season. Back to S3, I thought the whole Doug going after Rachel really deterred from the main stories. At least I didn't see the point of drawing that out for as long as they did. Probably just trying to add to Doug's character. They did spend more than a few episodes on Doug's alcohol abuse which revealed a lot about him. But the Rachel part didn't add much for me.

I just figured out, right now, that the actors who play Lahey and Sarah on TPB are real life father and daughter... I'm slow.

I Like season nine, watched all ten episodes already. When you are fighting with the old lady, you have more time to do things by yourself. Jim Lehay is the best character in the show with Ricky second.

I think every character has their own intrinsic value. Lahey, Ricky and Bubbles are tops for me, but they've all made me laugh. I loved how Julian still instinctively stood there like he was holding a drink the first few episodes of season 9.

Episode 5

Towards the end, they are sitting around a fire outside the motel when Julian tells em' his plans to get the park back....he says, "I didn't tell Ricky, cuz I didn't want him fucking it up"...he looks at Ricky and says, "No offense." Ricky replies, none taken. Bubbles then chimes in,.."Well, why didn't ya tell me Julian, I don't fuck everything up that I try to do!"....then looks at Ricky and says, "No offense, Ricky." To which Ricky, without skipping a beat, replies..."I'm good".

Ricky, happy as a lark thru the whole scene. Funny shit..

JRoc has been pretty exceptional this season, I like the new twist on his character. Opened up a lot of funny material for him. Bubbles is still ace tops number one in my book though.

Killed season 9 in the first two days, it was pretty solid. I like how they keep us guessing about if the hairbrained scheme is going to fail or succeed. Some seasons/specials they end up "being set for life" and then others they end up in jail. It keeps things from getting formulaic. Love it.

And there were some excellent moments this season. the blue snurf was hilarious
