Please don't try and put words in my mouth. It still remains to be seen how dumb and desperate that organization can still really be...it must be the freezing cold in the air or something there.

Don't you and PDay have a group hug scheduled here sometime this afternoon? Please go and play with him now. Thanks

Lol....if you say so genius.
Hey, I thought if he was on the exemption list he'd get paid, since Hardy did.

If in fact he did get paid, it makes you look even worse lol

You think that after NOT getting paid last year he's gonna sit out this year and lose another seasons pay if he's not traded??? LMFAO
Get a clue dude

AP?

WHY would we pay his salary??? Especially given the holes we have to fill on defense. We can always draft a RB. Once Carr is released that will give us some cap relief, but we only have 5 mill under the cap now.

We couldn't afford AP even if we wanted him, WHICH WE DON'T. There isn't a single report that shows we have any interest whatsoever.

Not sure what the point of this debate is.

Is this like the last time the Vikes said that they "had no intentions" of trading a player (Percy Harvin), and then traded him? Just more posturing for trade value? I forgot, team says they want to play chicken with AP and not seek any compensation in return>?....gesssh. Keep feeding the news media and these gullible armchair GMs...:boink:

2/15/13

The Minnesota Vikings have no intention of trading wide receiver Percy Harvin, general manager Rick Spielman said Friday.

3/11/13

After insisting that Percy Harvin is not for sale, the Minnesota Vikings have shifted course.

Fox Sports insider and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer reported on Monday that the Vikings have agreed to a trade that will send Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks.

For those unclear - Peterson was placed on the Exempt List, which means he was in fact PAID for last season.

Just an FYI

Yep, especially when they hit pay dirt with the last RB they drafted highly (Felix Jones)??...my bad, or was that Joseph Randle?? One key injury to this OL, and I feel very confident in just any old plug and play rookie alright from this draft right? First, no team is gonna touch his salary without it being reduced, or he really would be forced to play in that hell hole In Minny.

Talk about a simplistic attitude and answer crowd....gessh. Yeah, we can just plug any 4th round RB behind this OL and still maintain our team identity?

Dreamers...

Now I remember you, the Dmac TROLL!!!!!

The guy that thinks we have to give up everything to get a workhorse back, and that will solve ALL our problems, LOLOLOL

OK kid, whatever you say. We have arguably the best OL in the league. We can afford to draft a second day RB and still get production out of our backfield. What we CAN'T afford is to pay AP the money in his current contract, AND re-sign Dez.

But hey, common sense, the salary cap, and general football knowledge have evaded you for years, so why change now?

I mean, the Patriots just won the SB with WHO at RB???

The Cowboys would be better served to draft a RB.

LULZ! I think our INACTION shows how NOT desperate we are. There's no rush, whatsoever. The Vikings don't have to do shit!

I have no idea what you are talking about, but to simply imply here that because you MAY have the best OL in football, you can just put any rookie RB behind them after just losing your most productive runner, and because some other team won a SB with completely different players and with a different team identity, and this team is still some undeniable lock to still maintain high productivity with the run game, after just drafting two busts at RB (Felix Jones and now Joseph Randle-headcase), is really, really, very stupid.

Btw, I already question your intelligence with the AP was getting paid all season "because he was on the commish's exemption list" theory, and was justified. No wonder PDay agrees with you here...he's probably the board's most unintelligent poster.
