Kendricks looks like a flat out superstar compared to the LBs we had the last few years with Andy.

And if by overrated, you mean a tackling machine that runs sideline to sideline, then yes. Eric Kendricks is overrated.
yeah he makes plays sideline to sideline, he needs to be making more plays in the opponents backfield. He is good, just not great like some of you make him out to be.

The kid is a hitter, hopefully he gets a shot.

Yup…He's got some great physical tools as well. 6'1 213lbs with a 4.5 40, 41 1/2 inch vert, 11'02 broad jump, 6.94 3-cone. Hopefully we can develop him into something.

Saw this on Twitter:

Ray Didinger reporting on WIP some #Eagles coaches aren't as high on Mychal Kendricks as most fans. May be on the trading block.

And this is the shit that makes Chip a dumb fuck if true.

Kendricks is our 2nd/3rd best defensive player. We are looking to get better not worse on that side of the ball.

I'd rather have stephone Anthony from Clemson.

I like the idea of kendricks and alonzo at the sam and mike ilb spots, barwin as the solb and bgeezy at the wolb is a linebacking core that will wreck isht. Looking at this team right now, we have a solid to great player at every possition outside of the ss spot. I cant remember in the last 10 years bringing in a d that has only 1 question mark. I really like our corner depth too. Maxwell, thurmond, boykin and Carroll are a damn good foursome.

On offense, I dont think we should be pressed to go get a big play wr,

Rg is really the only position that needs to be addressed.

Mathews, ertz, sproles and celek are more than enough to run a quality passing game. Throw sproles in the slot, erz out wide and its matchup nightmares.

But.. add in a amari cooper... good...fucking...night.

Kendricks is criminally underrated by some in here it seems. I really like the idea of Alonzo and Kendricks together, a very speedy set of ILBs who can cover and run sideline to sideline. They do give up size at the point of attack but our DL is pretty solid against the run.

I think that sounds great too, but its very puzzling that Ryans is still rostered? He is over 30, over paid and over injured. If Kelly didn't intend to keep him, it would be fair to offer him the same opportunity as he did Herremans, Williams and Cole to find work elsewhere. You really can't justify any of these three ILBs not playing, so its good speculation that there is another shoe to drop. And they just picked up Alonso, you can't see Ryans as tradeable, so that leave you with Kendricks.

Kendricks started to really come on last year. I hope he doesn't go anywhere. I don't see how trading him really helps us. He may not be elite but he has proven he can play well in this D.

Preach on brotha! I don't understand the criticism. He was inconsistent his first 2 years, but took a monster step forward in his progress this pass year and played at a very high level. He's an highly explosive athlete that can run sideline to sideline with an extremely high motor and passion for the game.
His workout numbers:
4.47 40 yard dash
39.5 inch vert
10'07'' broad jump
6.68 3-cone

Kendricks is very good in coverage. He's arguably the best blitzing ILB in the NFL. He's very good in run defense. He plays with instincts and a good feel for the game. AND he's only 24 years old!! This kid is going to become ever better.

As good as he was Cox and Barwin had better years. Maybe the position isn't great in this D or maybe anyone could fill in with Cox here.

You rather have Stephone Anthony over Mychal Kendricks? Really…?

Yessir, Kendricks is due an extension soon, and i don't think he's worth the money his agent will want. I think Anthony would pair nicely with Alonso, as well as allow room for Mufasa.

Not even going to argue with yah…

Anyway, I'm pretty bummed we didn't bring in a Safety. Hopefully some of our younger guys can step up and fill in across Jenkins.

This isn't the Sixers. At some point we need to keep some good young players and fill holes.

You're right. But you can't keep everyone. And with the cap in this days nfl, you need production from players on their rookie deals. Soon we're going to have to pony up big money contract extensions to Cox and Lane. So who do we keep and who do we move to acquire assets to help fill needs at other positions? With demeco, kiko, goode returning, signing of Brad Jones, it seems that Kendricks is the odd man out. That's the bad news.

The good news is that he's considered talented enough and young enough that we should get a decent return in moving him. A young guard, safety or wr? Who knows what chip will do, but he's obviously not afraid of moving anyone.

It would be fruitless to argue anyways, chip is gonna do whatever he wants.

I am too, though the free agent market was thin. Unfortunately the draft seems to be as well. I wonder with the success of Malcolm Jenkins in the scheme and the team wanting McCourty, maybe we should be looking at corners that could convert to safety....

Love Kendricks, and want him here, BUT....he would be an asset Chip could use to help bolster areas of need = OG (2); WR; and Safety. Nothing surprises me anymore.

Amazing you give Graham ten years to break the starting lineup but you shit on Kendricks who shows major promise after two years...
