Both over 100 interceptions for their careers. Not really that different. Although Romo has the edge for throwing the game killing interceptions, while Cutler kind of spreads it out.

Says the fan from the team whose QB just threw one of the biggest game losing, choke passes in the history of the NFL. A SB losing, last second pass is a tough one to overcome even if you already have a trophy and everyone ignores your role and blames the guys that called the play...still need to execute and not throw away a SB and a season...interesting timing for the Romo jab...

As much as everyone wants to publicly crucify Cutler, there are still a dozen teams that'd take him in a second.

Depending on the price tag you are totally correct. He isn't close to the elite QB he thinks he is or that some thought he may become, but he is better than a bunch of guys running through the tunnel else on Sundays

No chance. The cap hit to cut him is bigger that than keeping him. Why would they do that? Are they going to be a good team with Claussen?

They're not a good team either way

I would agree that there are 12 teams desperate enough to bring in Cutler or 12 teams who's coaches think they're special enough to make Cutler a great QB.

Nice attempt at a dig, but you miss terribly cuz Russell has gone so much further than Romo ever has, and RW also has a ring.
Comparisons of Jay and Tony are in line.
Neither has the "it" factor and neither has won the big game when it counted.
Both are incredibly overpaid to the point the are not trade able for anything without massive contribution.

So, not two first rounders and a third rounder? Is McDaniels officially vindicated?

To risky for the Bears to just cut him. They could lose a bunch of money. I do see a trade tho.

Agreed

No chance with cutting him... Bears would have $38M of dead money hit the cap.

A trade could be possible... I believe Bears only would have $5M of dead money then hit the cap.. the guaranteed salary remaining would go to the team in the trade ($33M). That is my understanding.. someone can correct me if wrong.

Personally I prefer he stays a Bear.

I smell Bus Cook doing his thing with the public. I am thinking Cutler wants out and the last time he was like this, Bus Cook (his agent and notorious for using the public to put pressure on the front office.) did his magic in getting him out of Denver.

Bus Cook: Jay Cutler's Agent and Master Puppeteer | Pith in the Wind | Nashville Scene

Potential prima donnas and aspiring victims take note. This is a master at work.

But even casual fans of the NFL have to be experiencing some major deja vu right now. It was only a year ago that Brett Favre, a first ballot Woe Is Me Hall of Famer, orchestrated his own dramatic concerto to force a trade to the New York Jets. Cutler's crybaby act isn't just annoying, it's unoriginal.

And the tie that binds them? Agent Bus Cook...

Denver Post. And last week's NFL Fanhouse. Just scratch that "original" comment.

Cook's ability to score for his client isn't in question: As Favre's agent, he negotiated the first $100 million dollar contract in NFL history. But Cutler's latest spat suggests that, apart from big money, Cook also has a way of providing his clients with lasting reputations. That of whiny, entitled troublemakers who're willing to submarine the team, the organization and all those around them to get what they want.

Maybe this is the way its always been behind the scenes between player and team. Even still, it's probably not in Cook's long-term interests to keep throwing the curtains open, exposing the ugly truth that lies just behind them.

As a last aside, let's take the opportunity now to break the hearts of all Vandy alums dying to see their man return to Nashville. Collins is resigned. VY is worth too little on the trade market to bring back anything worthy of the investment they've made in him. And the price Denver would demand for Cutler, even in a low-leverage position (first-round pick, impact player and maybe more) is too high. Sorry Titans' fans. It ain't happenin'.

--------------------------

Yes, some of his more famous clients were Favre and Mcnair. Remember then Mcnair showed up to the Titans facility, knowing he was not allowed in since there was no contract? Typical of a client doing what the agent instructs him to do.

We all pretty much saw how he used the Packers fans to place pressure on Ted Thompson.

I am assuming based on the stories, the little brat is not happy with the coaching staff. Remember, he was in on the hiring process for Marc Trestman. Yeah, he was actually one of the deciding factors on that hiring. I do not think he was consulted in any way with Fox hiring.

The last time he was not in on the hiring process, it was Josh Mcdaniels. The rest as they say is history. The Bears got a petulant spoiled prick. They are stuck with the contract. He is going into his 10th season, and he has never been in the top 10 in passer rating in his career.

His sycophants continue and will continue to make excuses for poopy pants.

Wilson has a loooong way to go to catch up to Romo as far as choking goes. One massive mistake doesn't mean that his fans are not allowed to criticize Romo's decade full of choke jobs. Romo wishes he could choke in the SB, but he'll just have to settle for his nearly annual week 17 season ending choke job.

Both saw their first playing time in '06. Romo has 20 fewer interceptions and 39 more touchdowns. I think that's a pretty big difference.

I'd take Cutler over Matt Flynn, every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

You can continue to criticze romo for choking and everyone else will continue to point out who may have just thrown the biggest darn choke pass in the history of the NFL. Get used to it, cause it's coming everytime a seahawk fan starts talking about any other QB choking...and it is well deserved. What is a bigger choke than throwing a game losing int at the goal line in a SB??? Are you kidding me!!! I would have had more respect for you guys if you just owned up and shut up about other QBs and choking for a while. It's not even a month and you have the ballz to talk about another QB choking? What he did dwarfs all of Romo's mistakes combined!!!

Umm, throwing a careers worth of game losers that keep you from ever getting there. Wilson's book has just begun, Romo's is almost complete. And the ending will be that he is a CAREER choker.

Wilson choked in the Super Bowl by throwing a game ending INT.

Romo is a much better QB than Cutler, even I know that.
