Titans fans don't want Prince Sorryota because we have a better QB now (as do all other NFL teams).

You're delusional and don't know much about pro football so I'm going to check out of this bullshit thread. It's more fun talking Trailer Park Boys with Pats fans than your not-so-subtle trolls, OD.

Dadgummit! Hammer exits stage left before I can wheedle out of him his take on the Titans' needs and who he sees as the candidates, given their draft positions.

First of all. The Eagleshave the 20th pick in the draft. Everyone remembers how much the redskins gaveup to get RG3. And they didn't move up half as far as the Eagles will have to.that is not happening. Eagles have too many needs and holes on defense to givethat much up. One thing the NFL has proven year in and year out is that youcannot have success strickly by outscoring people. You are going to have toplay defense at some point regardless of how potent your offense is.

only hope for this is Mariota falling out of top 8 then the Eagles will not have to morgage there entire future for one player who has NEVER taken and nfl snap./

It's the Titans, they will probably take a franchise kicker.

I don't see the Titans drafting a QB early. From what I hear & read, they are riding the Berger train right now & are sticking with him for at least another season. They have plenty of other positions that need addressed in the draft.

And from a purely on-field standpoint, Winston is the better QB right now. He is likely a plug & play starter from day 1. Mariota is not. It's Winston's other "issues" that make people pause.

Unless Mariota drops out of the top 5 I don't see how the Eagles @ #20 have the ammunition to acquire him without doing an RGIII type trade.

That's what I read as well.

oh great, if the Titans pick a gimmick system college QB than its just another 2 wins for Indy every season. I hope they are smarter than this.

I honestly do think there's a pretty solid chance of one of Jameis/Mariota falling out of the top 5 to either 6 or 10 where the Jets or Rams would grab him.

Chip Kelly isn't dumb and he'll gladly stick with The Sanchize over this little system QB that laid an egg in the big game.

Unfortunately for Kelly its the system, not the QB that will always lose in the big game.

Would be the missing peice for the eagles. Most likely send then to the Super Bowl

This is an idiotic statement. Haven't we learned time and time again that you never know how a college player will transfer to the NFL? Don't give me the "well this guy is different" argument. You just never know until you actually see him on the NFL field, playing. And here you are already saying that Mariota himself will likely take the Eagles to the Super Bowl? OK.

I hope you base that opinion strictly on the off-field antics of Winston. Because as far as on-field abilities are concerned, Winston is FAR more pro-ready than Mariota. Winston's gonna have the better pro career if he can grow up and quit doin' stupid shit

Those are some mighty big if's. I can't see him playing in the league for long. He will be in prison or worse within the next 4 years.

Too bad Mariota will bust. He's a one option run QB, and those fail terribly in the NFL. Winston will be solid but his attitude will keep him from greatness.

Either way, if I'm drafting for a top 3 pick, I pass on both QBs and grab one of the D-Lineman.

Note: Despite being a Seattle fan and attending UW, I could care less about college football. Go Oregon, go UW, go Cougs, I just don't give a flying crap about college football. Only reason I watch any of it is for NFL draft purposes.

"But... but... but... Mariota's different! He's a dual-threat. The NFL has never seen anything like it. He'll fuck up defenses for the next decade." - the same guise who said the Wildcat would revolutionize the NFL :L
