First, thanks John Fox. Not at all surprised though. If you lose two home playoff games that you are heavily favored in and get blown out in a SB where you are also favored you don't keep your job especially working for Elway when your QB is Manning.

The "blown out" part is acceptable, the "favored" part actually isn't. Professional bettors were scratching their heads when the line came out for the Super Bowl for one simple reason. Prior to the Conference Championship Games, Vegas had released their futures bets. In those bets, Seattle was favored by 3 over Denver. However, after the Championship Games, the game was initially a pick 'em and then Denver became a 3 point favorite. Their question was what changed over the course of 2 games. Their answer was "nothing". There were no significant injuries and San Francisco was considered a far superior team to New England, making Seattle's win over SF a much more impressive feat than Denver's win over New England. Especially when you consider that the game wasn't a blow out. Denver won handily, but did anyone else feel a little nervous when Brady ran that TD in and made the game 26-16 with the 2 point conversion to come? I know that I did. As we know, the Pats blew the 2 point conversion, but the point stands. Denver should have never been favored in that game. They should have come in dogs just like they were before the Championship games.

Yep. Speaking of Moore, you can prob count him gone this yr. Was reported Elway is going to focus on up grading O- line so expect some cuts there as well due to poor play/salary cap issue forth coming. J. T, Welker,Caldwell are prob toast as well. With a healthy Trev and Irving along with the emergence of Marshall, expect some lbs like Johnson gone too. I`am sure after the new coach/coaches and John get together and review game film, there will prob be some guys that think they have job security that find themselves looking for work also. Salary cap will do the most damage no doubt but there is going to be some other " Wow! Didn`t see that one coming" cuts as well.

Even with Manning on the roster, Denver has salary cap space. I don't see it as that big a factor, and it definitely won't be a factor if Manning retires or is released. Any moves along this line will be of the value vs. expense type. Elway's the type who wants to maximize the value he gets from his players.

Oh I agree Walker that Elway will maximise his already proven expertice and any and all decisions he makes will definetely be for the betterment of the team.

I'd be surprised if they cut Caldwell. He's pretty cheap money and only signed for one more season.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Clady either cut or taking a pay cut. He signed a very team friendly deal as he's only owed $1.8M over the next 3 seasons, but counts $10+M against the cap. Even if they cut him with 3 years left, they'd still save $8+M this year. The same goes for Talib. Even with that huge deal, Denver would actually save around $3M this year if they were to cut him. Although I'd rather see Talib in a system that suits his strengths instead of being asked to play 10-15 yards off the line. Honestly, I think he'd fit awesome in Dan Quinn's system playing the Richard Sherman role.
