Well it's strange that Shane Greene came up to the majors and started striking out more batters than he did at any level save a short A-ball stint. Never seen the guy pitch, but that strikes me as odd.

Yeah, his strikeout numbers this year were a bit surprising. Especially considering how middling his strikeout numbers were in AAA this year.

The dude is horrible. Should not even be in the Bigs. I'm sorry to see him leave Arizona though because he was an automatic out each time my Giants played them.

You're basing this off of a small sample size playing the Giants?

His OPS the past 2 years is slightly better than the MLB average for a shortstop, so I have a hard time seeing the logic in thinking that a guy who hits as well as his position on the whole "should not even be in the bigs."

Middle Infield help is so scarce the price for DG is what it was for New York. I am wondering if Detroit could have dealt Suerez straight up for Greene. Or the Tigers plan on him backing up Inglesias and Kinsler this season.

Im ok with it. Im not a big fan of him. Like him as set up man but not closer and not for 15 mill a season for 1 season as a closer. Love the Miller pick up for 9 mill. Him and Betances. 2 RP that get 10o K's in a season as a RP. Watch out.

The positive of this trade is that Defense got better but I don't think he can hit well enough to stay in the big leagues.
