I think we will have next year to audition closers as well. By the end of 2015 we should know if we have one or if we have to go and get one for 2016 and beyond.

With all the young arms we have I would hope we can come up with one in house.

I think I would start using Mendez in the closer roll just about, say tomorrow?

I hear ya.

But I suspect they're going to roll with Feliz the rest of the season and see what happens.

Problem with moving Mendez into the closer roll now is, it certainly appears he could close. But he looks really good as the setup man.

And if Feliz can't close. He's done. He has no fall back option IMO. So let him pitch himself outta the conversation or not until the end of next month.

I wonder if the Tigers or Giants will be interested in Rios if they lose out on Castillo. Maybe we could package Rios and Cotts to DET (if they were the ones that claimed him). I guess that would be difficult with the time restraint.

Any of you seen Profar lately? He's HUGE. Not the Neftali Feliz kind of huge either...he used his lost season to get ripped.

Really? Where did you see him? That's awesome. He always looked so frail. Maybe he just hadn't developed yet.

I had read that somewhere, but I haven't seen him yet.

He does look a little bigger. I think I remember scouting reports saying he might have not have completely grown into his body. Mix that with resistance, and get on the field next year!

If he added around 10-15 pounds a muscle that's pretty awesome. Just glad he didn't get fat and out of shape.
