I just don't see JD ever pulling the trigger unless something unusual happens like Wash gets caught doing drugs again or if Wash and JD get crossways about something. I think Wash is here as long as JD is here. Then there is the whole issue about trusting someone who has kept Wash this long to find a good replacement. JD seems to be one of the Wash apologists. He obviously likes the way Wash manages.
If JD can't see what kind a mgr he has then how does he know what players he needs? Hopefully RW doesn't make the decisions.

what's your replacement thinking? or do you have one?

That would depend on things that I don't know at this time. If he is traded next July at the trade deadline then his eventual replacement would either be a free agent available in the following offseason or someone in the system such as Mazara or Williams. A lot could happen between now and the that would influence that decision.

Because he would be wasted honestly. As long as Loria owns the team I want nothing but bad to happen to the franchise. He's a horrible owner and he abuses the system and defrauded tax payers. I hope for your sake he sells team asap.

Preaching to the choir. I hope he sells too, but in the mean time I'm enjoying Stanton AKA the 2014 NL MVP.

Damn that actually makes me respect Stanton more. He was looking for the fastball so he could do exactly that. He wasn't trying to go yard. Just needed a single. Good hitter...

The Most Valuable hitter in the NL.

Choice HBP and scored run tonight, but he looked bad at the plate was 0-4 and the only player for the Express without a hit

I love checking MLB.com to watch his homers. Leading the league in walks homers and RBI. He's having a great year.

Please recap when it's done. I can't get it where I'm at.

Rangers left-hander Neal Cotts has been claimed on revocable waivers by an unnamed club, reports Jon Heyman of CBS Sports (on Twitter). Cotts’ waiver period expired yesterday, according to the initial report which revealed that he was on waivers. Because teams have 48.5 hours to work out a trade from the point of a claim, it can be inferred that the Rangers will have until tomorrow afternoon to work out a trade to send Cotts to the claiming team.

Interesting to see what could happen here, don't expect much of a return.

New Padres GM A.J. Preller has successfully pried veteran executive Don Welke away from the Rangers, two sources tell Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News. The Padres have confirmed the hiring announcing Welke will serve as their vice president of scouting operations. The Rangers had the right to refuse but chose not to get in Welke’s way of taking a job with San Diego. Welke, a long-time scout under Pat Gillick in Toronto, was in his eighth season with the Rangers after coming over from the Dodgers.

I was afraid some of the scout team would end up heading to San Diego, this could be a tough blow

I respect the fact the Rangers chose not to block this guy from going somewhere he wanted to go. He's given us 8 damn good years. Appreciate those and wish him well IMO.

Maybe depends on what team.

Think the Tigers are more apt to give us a better option than some since their BP is a mess.
