Is Headley going to be the hero in his first game as a Yankee?

We have the worst record in baseball due to injures. Do you think we aren't use to this already this year?

I feel your pain, man.

My only hope is that next year when we have either healthy or new players, we never see some of these garbage players in a Rangers uniform again. We just have way too many guys playing big roles right now who don't have any business being anywhere near a Major League field. Nick Tepesch is quickly becoming one of those.

I guess it's cool that a few of these guys are getting their cup of coffee at the MLB level due to the record number of injuries, but, man are they tough to watch on most nights.

Verizon in our area has been down since 6 PM last night so I missed it all or actually I missed nothing. But this loss goes to the offense and Soria. He has to come in and nail that down. That is his job.

This on Luke Jackson:

"He hasn’t quite settled in yet,” Triple-A pitching coach Brad Holman said. “He’s got very good stuff and is trying to find the balance where he doesn’t sacrifice stuff, but is able to emphasize command. His change-up has been very good and he displays the most consistency with that pitch because he doesn’t try to over-torque it. … I’m confident he will settle in soon. He’s smart and competitive.”

Ya know, I'm gonna have to come to the defense of JP here; at least a little.

Before this season began, he was singed to be an adequate backup catcher, with some pop in his bat. Nothing more. Granted, to start the season he sucked-out-loud.

However, since he's come back, he signal handedly got us the only win we got in Canada, and put us in a position to win last night - very late in the game too - but we lost b/c others didn't fulfill their roles.

He also made two very nice defensive plays at 1st. A position he's never played before the last few weeks.

I know he's hitting a buck and change. But he's a lifetime .208 hitter. His average is not why we got him in the first place. But the RBI potential is.

Just saying, in the second half small sample size, he's doing his part.
