Even that will come down to the wire. We will be in a fight for the worst record with Houston and maybe another the last few games of the season. We all probably will be watching that.

There is a lot, and I mean A LOT, of negative conversation toward Houston and their FO on how this has been handled, from a national perspective.

Apparently the Astros have played very heavy handedly with young players (Springer) and draft picks over the past several years and it's a real problem for them moving forward.

There was an article on SI today, and ESPN too (I think) and it really paints a negative picture of their origination.

Or may never make it to the majors at all for that matter. I don't get too excited over draft picks. They're like lottery tickets.

I think overall MLB is getting better at drafting and developing those guys, so it's less of a crap shoot, but if Texas loses 100 games they had damn well better draft someone worth a damn.

You know we've hit rock bottom when we have JPA pinch hitting in a "key" situation....really sad...

Thing is, I don't know if choo would've been a better option. How sad is that?

Good point because I forgot about the Springer stuff at the beginning of the season. Something unique has to happen out of their nonsense.

Really disappointed in Teps stats line. I did not see the game but expected better. We have a lot of minor league pitchers on the staff right now so it will be a tough go.

Another game scoring enough runs to win and pitching falls on it's face again. Other games the pitching was good enough and the offense blows. Not much chance of winning like that. SAD

Chirino would have been my choice. JP sure would not have been.:gaah:

I'm getting the feeling Tepesch just might not be major league starter material.

To be fair, JP had been hitting some bombs at round rock so can understand it. We just don't have a good choice. To be honest, I probably would've let Soto hit. He already had two hits in the game, including a double. I was kind of excited to see him come up. He has a knack for clutch hits.

Luck. Let me know if you find him. I've got a boot I want to forcefully put up his ass.

Agree on Soto. I was just saying if Wash had to PH.

Made me think of the song by Cream that states "if it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all."
