We've got 4 #5's after Darvish.

I was counting Mikolas as a minor leaguer myself. He's got little to no business being up here now. Other that the situation we're in, he's at RR; maybe Frisco.

So that would get us down to three # 5. How's that for some weird, convoluted silver lining?

Well, I've been forced to take time away from them for various reasons. Probably not a bad thing.

The only way we compete next year is if we get 2 pitchers. Not one. Has to be 2. You have to assume derek won't be back. If he's back and dealing, awesome... but as a gm you have to simply assume he wont be back. Preferably you get young guys, but anything i guess. You need to have at least 3 reliable pitchers to hold the fort until MP.
