I'm not trying to defend Nick here. However, they did get some rather weak hits today.

Agree with ya on Tepesch overall. I'm sorely disappointed in his progress; or lack thereof.

True, but I think some of that goes back to him throwing a lot of hittable pitches with not enough movement on them. Equals lots of contact and some of those are going to sneak in. The kid just isn't a major league starter.

I'm glad JD openly admitted we need two starters at minimum to be competitive for 2015, because nobody we have now other than Darvish and Holland has any chance of being anything more than a #5. Question is, who? I don't even know what the FA pitching market looks like next year, but I'm certain we'll need to trade for at least one.

He's been one of the more consistent guys in the pen this year.
Not with inherited runners..I just read where 11 of his 23 inherited runners have scored before today..now that has improved to 12 of 26....

...but I do agree, he's been one of our more better BP guys...

That ball gets down and to the wall if a Jay hits it.

The ball Navarro hit in the 3rd (think?) was 5 inches outside; maybe more. But you've got a very valid point about his "hittable" ball. It had so little movement too it, that a .260 hitter can still get a double.

I kind of laughed to myself about your comment on 5th starters. We've got at least two # 5 now. And I'm not even counting Baker.

Oh my god, I don't believe it. Is this what they call a clutch hit with RISP? Is this what they call a rally?

We've got 4 #5's after Darvish. :pout:
