53 saves is better than three assists. In your face Aaron.

Not quite as bad as that phantom goalie interference call in the Wings Caps game earlier, but Chris Rooney just called goalie interference on Matt Beleskey - second worst call I've seen this season. Ducks had a 5 on 3 and Beleskey never touched Pavelec. The ref behind the goal line called it a goal, but the ref at the blue line Rooney called it a penalty. It's just not comprehensible how that was called a penalty with absolutely no contact and Beleskey never even in the blue paint. At least Beleskey said a solid "fuck you" to Rooney on his way to the box.

/they just said it was run of the mill interference and not goalie interference, which only makes it a marginal call now, not a phantom call.

That's okay, Kane's was two minutes for boarding at the absolute utmost - and not even late at that,- Stoner back-stabs worse than that every game, and the sweety-pie gets two for roughing for dropping them and throwing three punches while his instigator fuddy-buddy holds Kane. The refs are a big PHAT joke - and Analheim can hardly complain about the reffing they get, night in and night out - why do you think Stoner went there? Next to LA they is the sweet shytes of the west.

Salary cap expected to rise from $69 million (projected to be in the $72-74 million range)

Still, what governors will be told by the league leadership this week is that despite all the concern, as long as there isn't any significant change (downward) in the Canadian dollar between now and June 30, the salary cap next season is projected to be somewhere between $72 million and $74 million, up from the current $69 million. The governors will actually get a more precise figure though a source told ESPN.com it should be in that range.

I'd say Kesler's in for a bit of a hard ride on Sad-turd-eh the 13th - don't think that Byfuglien, or anyone else, was all too impressed with cryin' Ryan's well-placed knee. It'll be a fun game for sure - that the refs will undoubtedly do their best to spoil.

I think the CAD is going to slide like hell. Unless crude jumps drastically, can't see it above .85 cents come June.

You want your team to ice a talentless jobber? Pourquoi?

He's a cool dude and he's not that bad of a player like some people think he is - he had 8 points in 39 games last season, which in an 82 game season equates to about 16 points or so - he was also a +6 on a crappy ass Coyotes team - that's much better than Zac Rinaldo, who the Flyers still employ

Bryzgalov's cap hit for the Ducks is more than Anderson, Gibson and LaBandaid combined.

/apparently there's a fine line between getting good value for your goalies and having goalies of no value

He just went pointless in 8 games in Portland.
