I disagree. Riley is smart enough to know that if LBJ told him he's leaving that McBob & Granger wouldn't change his mind. Lebron actually gave Riley his input on McBob.

That's not cool

or Riley is smart enough to know that if LBJ is leaving, he needs to get McBob and Granger to help keep his team at the top along with trying to make sure Bosh & Wade don't leave. and if LeBron gave his input on McBob to Riley after telling him he's not staying, he could be having an alternative motive in trynna get them outta Indiana so it's a easier victory for Cleveland in the Central

It's refreshing to see someone actually coach a team

Granger was on the Clippers and McRoberts was on the Bobcats. They weren't in the Central division.

What BK brought up is what irks me the most. Lebron knew full well he was leaving. Hell, Lebron just announced he was going back a little over 12 hours ago. Nike's already got bill boards hanging all over town in Cleveland. This wasn't something that happened in the last couple of days. Lebron's crew even sent SI a letter to release at a certain point. This was planned for weeks, not days.

Lebron met with Gilbert on Sunday and had Riley fly all the way to Vegas to meet him a few days later. During that time, Lebron could've started making moves on other free agents. Lebron approached this decision in a classier way than 2010. But it certainly screwed over my team.

You can't just go by scoring averages. Cleveland was horrible last year, so they had bed players like Waiters playing expanded roles. Despite that, Bennett could barely crack the rotation.

Barnes and Green, on the other hand both had important roles on a really good team.

They are definitely better, despite what their scoring averages might say.

Don't forget that on the Warriors, Thomson and Curry are the primary scorers on that team. But you're right; Barnes and Green are playing important roles on a really good playoff team out West.

Bennett's already in discussion for being another #1 draft bust.

No it wouldn't. Pau would work well in both places but he'd be way better off in SA. With his skillset and SA's offense, the ball may literally never touch the ground. It'll just be a whirling display of cuts and passes.

The Heat obviously took a step back today being a title contender. For basketball reasons, I would love to see Gasol on the Spurs. But rumor mill is spinning that he's close to signing with Chicago.

That is situational, he can score but if he is Melo it is different, if he can be dominate I will take him

I hope I am misunderstanding this. Did you just compare Dion Waiters to Melo?

C'mon guys. It isn't like these are franchise altering contracts that will hinder the Heat for years. Fact is, you got McRoberts at a really good bargain.

Now, had Riles signed Bosh to the max deal as a way to entice LeBron, I could see why you would be upset. The Heat look like they are in 4 seed purgatory for the foreseeable future. Had they gone full rebuild, they could have reloaded in 2016. That will be much more difficult now with Bosh on the books for 20+. That decision was made after LeBron left.

As I expected mike miller signed with cavs. Word coming out soon
Is that official yet? He was such a good fit on the Grizzlies but the market for him is too rich for them.

I blame Riley for this debacle. He did nothing the past 2 seasons to improve the Heat. You could see the demise of this team coming from a mile away, yet he decides that signing Oden and Beasley is enough to keep this team on top. He should have traded Bosh after the Heat's last ring. Bosh proved that he is nothing more than an above averaged mid range shooter with some height but no bulk to get the job done down low where the Heat need help at. Furthermore, Riley screwed up by keeping Spolestra as coach when the "big 3" formed. Riley has always been a great coach but his decisions as GM have been very poor.
Come on...they made the finals last year and ran into a buzz saw. Beasley and Oden were low risk with high reward potential. You are talking about the 7th or 8th guys...

All relevant moves for sure. Vinsanity is a good fit in Memphis. Chicago is like a sleeping giant assuming Rose ever plays a playoff series again. Miller is obviously a good fit with Lebron, Wiggins and Kyrie

yeah, it appears that money talks. The SPURS were an interesting late addition run to Gasol, but the Bulls can pay twice as much money.

Unless, Carmelo decides to make a last minute run for Chicago, Pau will be a Bull.

The SPURS will be fine and win 58+ games, but it was fun seeing a flirtation with a big name free agent...... out of character for them. They don't really have any weaknesses as is, but Gasol would have made them dominant.

The SPURS will probably move on to look at what small forwards are available for insurance.
That might be the only position where they need depth...sort of...

I agree he would work in both places. Having a starting lineup with Duncan and Gasol is scary for the league. Only reason I think he is a "better" in OKC is due to weakness, not strength. San Antonio doesn't really have a weakness, but OKC does. OKC is a great team, with 1 glaring weakness - the Center spot.

Perkins averaged: 3 pts; 5 boards; and 1 assist.
Pau averaged: 17 pts; 10 boards; and 4 assists.

You add 14 points, 5 boards, and 3 extra assists simply from 1 player. Plus you are adding championship experience to a team with virtually none. Finally you are putting one of the best passing big men onto a team with Westbrook and Durant.

Maybe I'm overstating it - but I think Pau on OKC would immediately make them the overall favorite.

Does everyone now see that all the 'missing Mike Miller' stuff that came out of James mouth after the season was much more about 'grooming' him to come to the Cavs with him vs really ever thinking he would need him that much last season?

Sure, you never want to lose a shooter like Mike, but you also usually don't have the number of other hand picked shooters on your roster to replace him.

The best thing about Lebron's speech was how he said he wants to win ONE title for Northeast Ohio :L

Not multiple or several but just one. I guess he no longer wants to aim for 5 like Kobe/Duncan or 6 like MJ

Way to lower your standards

So now Miller is chasing Lebron like a lost dog looking for scraps. I hope Allen says No Thank you. Its good to see Bosh and Wade show character and stick with something.

He has a good PR person other than his cronies. Lowering expectations makes things easier for him and his organization.....
