The best WR in the league is Calvin Johnson, followed by AJ Green, Brandon Marshall, and Larry Fitzgerald..

Same concept as the QB Rankings.

Assume each WR is paid the same, has a QB who fits the system he plays best in, and that age is only a factor in production - NOT in length of career.

Example: Don't vote for a younger guy than Larry Fitzgerald because Fitzgerald has a few years left only and the younger guy may have more years. DO vote for the younger guy if you think his skills are better THIS year or is a better WR at this stage. Got it?

I don't know WRs as well as QBs, so I'm guessing on who is in the discussion - but am putting the maximum options out there because I'm not that familiar. I realize this first poll isn't likely to be more than a three or four man race. I think I know who's going to win, but can't be sure.

I am not sure how far this series will go, but it will not be the full 32. Please give your real opinion. Thanks.

This week's missed auto-correct - Alston vs. Alshon.

100% honestly, Demaryius Thomas is the closest talent to Calvin Johnson to me. He may not be the 2nd best pure WR in the league, but talent wise, he takes freak to the max. I mean just think, Peyton audibles to that quick screen to him all the time. Demaryius is just a pure playmaker who can make something out of nothing at any given moment, and make you say,"Wow, how is that even possible?" Call me a homer, don't really care. Just honesty from me.

Did he go to your alma mater? Did he switch teams? How would you be a homer?

Who voted for DeSean Jackson? Show yourself. I think you're out of your mind and want to see your reasoning.

Dez doesn't even make some top 10s, let alone top 5. If he had his head on straight and could be consistent with his play, he'd be in everyone's top 10.

I went with Julio. He looks so much more dominant each year too (he was averaging over 100 yards per game in the 5 he played).

2 things:

1) For the same argument I made about him being the 4th best WR, Andre Johnson should at least be the 5th best.

2) Cordarelle Patterson and Keenan Allen should not be grouped together. Even with Patterson playing in 1 more game than Allen - Allen more than doubled his stats. Allen had 26 more catches, 600 more yards, and twice as many TD's. Neither are top 5, but Allen should get his own line above CP.

Patterson won't be a valuable asset until Ponder loses his job or gets traded to a team with a decent QB.
