It would be nice to get Scheppers and Feliz back in this pen. That's assuming we didn't fuck Tanner up like we have Ogando.

I'll never forget the line drive homerun I saw from Parrish when Texas came to town in the 90s. It was so quick and so fast... no long loping home run. It was OUT, with the snap of your fingers. Texas lost that game, but I'd always had a soft spot for them (and an intense hatred for the Stewart-Canseco-McGwire A's) that it was really easy for me to root for them.

Parrish swung a might bat for a long time really. Not just with us.

Now, you do remember that Stewart and Canseco both played with the Rangers too don't ya? And ya know what? Both of them played very well here, and Jose especially was never in the spotlight. Not once I remember anyway. Except for the ball going off his noggin for a HR anyway. :laugh3:

This is a freak explosion from the O's. They did it a couple of times this season (notably against the Jays). They just aren't anywhere near their potential. A big part of it is the bottom 3 hitters in our lineup actually making a dent.. of any kind.
Well, good luck with your team in your division. Any one of four teams could win it with the only surprise being how bad TB is.

And trust me.. I remember that 30-3 game vividly. That was the nadir to that season. Even now, when I think of it, I cringe. "How is this possible?! 30 runs?!?!"

There were a lot of dinky hits like Delmon and Markakis had in that inning. Everything was finding a hole.

lol, yes. They were just somehow cockier in Oakland.

I detested them at the time, even if I respected what they were doing.

Oh, I know. I actually thought TB would win the division, in their usual unassuming way. Before the injuries.. and Price coming back down to earth.

It'll be a dog fight to the end. Easily the weakest AL East teams, top to bottom, that I can remember in some time.

He's been pitching well lately, but ok. If you haven't noticed, our bullpen is hot garbage. They can't be any worse. At least they have a track record.

Meh.

I took a shot at him. I think he's a moron when it comes to tactics. It would be easier to blame the coke.

I hear ya.

Seriously now, my problem with where the Rangers are, from a manpower standpoint is, we now are not anywhere close to being a bang the ball outta here team. Agreed?

So, if this is true, we now have to be a hit/run, run/hit, steal, take-the-extra-base, etc team right?

Is this the manager you'd pick to make all the right X & O moves to accomplish this?

There's many problems with this team being that type. They are bad situational hitters and bad base-runners and have been for a year and a half. We don't have the pitching to be this type of team either. After the injuries anyways.

Rangers follow a Sunday shutout by allowing eight tonight.

Rangers have now allowed at least eight runs in 13 games. Most in baseball. Also lead majors with 11 shutouts.

This lines up with our conversation last night Dude
