That makes sense. However, the minicamp ended on 5/3. Which means they were satisfied with him until they drafted Manziel and then signed UDFA Connor Shaw. They probably wanted 4 QBs during the minicamp to work the receivers.

Browns also cut recently signed Alex Tanney and now have 4 QBs on the roster. I predict Connor Shaw is going to be on the Practice Squad.
