Here is a piece in which Pete Prisco lists the players that he thinks each team ought to draft in the first round.

Kind of interesting to me that he recommends Atlanta trade up with Houston in order to get Clowney, with the Texans then getting Manziel with the sixth pick it acquires from Atlanta. Seems to make some sense for both teams and I know that it has been rumored, but with the number of picks that Houston already has, I'm not sure that additional picks are that valuable to them.

Prisco suggests that the Broncos get CJ Mosely at 31. That seems reasonable to me, since Denver could clearly use some help at LB.

What do you think of Prisco's prescribed pick for your team?

As a Rams fan, I'm okay with Robinson at No. 2. He is one of 3 blue chippers in this draft IMO.

However I'm not sure the Rams pick a guard that high since one of these guys; Robinson, Matthews, Lewan or Martin will be there sitting at No. 13.

I'm thinking Sammy Watkins and then OT at No. 13 (If they don't trade down) because with all the top end talent on the board this year, there is no way 4 Offensive Tackles go in the top 12.

I have a hard time seeing all 15 then decide to pass on him. I've seen him mocked all the way up to 8 or 9 so for him to get to 31 would be a minor miracle in my book.

Van Noy is definitely a more realistic prospect. He has picked up some steam as of late as teams love his versatility to play anywhere from DE to all 3 linebacker spots in a 4-3 defense. He is a very intelligent instinctive player. Doesn't have the athleticism of a Shazier or Mosley but is probably the smartest of the 3 and as we have seen in the NFL instincts usually outweigh that of athleticism when it comes to football. At 31 I would say he would be a bit of a reach as I think the Broncos could trade back to around 40 and still get him while picking up some extra picks.

Realistically there is a large handful of players that could be there for us. It really is hard to tell at this point. I have seen Fuller be there at 31 on quite a few mocks but at the same time seen him go top 15. Same with just about all of the top Corners in this draft. DE wise Ealy, Ford, Tuitt, and others should be available. DT we could see Nix there at the pick as well as Jernigan. We could also go OL as Morgan Moses, S'ua Fila, the guy from Alabama, and Bitonio have all been linked to the Broncos at different times. Should be an interesting night tonight for most teams.

I doubt he would play guard for the Rams year one. My guess is he would start out at RT (which he would do very well at) before moving to LT.

Really the Rams could go a lot of ways with their picks. I could argue that Robinson of all the OL players has the best chance to be a HOF type player then the Rams could get a guy like Odell Beckham at 13. So they can either go a blue chip WR or a blue chip OL player and still get a quality player at the other position later on. For me I would rather go OL but I am old school in my thought of build the trenches first then add playmakers later.

I didn't think so.

He's a second year 6th round practice squad guy, who has never started a game in the NFL and listed on our depth chart as the starter at right guard. Maybe Barrett Jones will be the guy and your right, however I like the idea of getting the blue chipper in Watkins and let one of the other OT's fall to us at No. 13. That's probably Martin who, by the way, just happens to grade very high at guard.

You know, nobody is talking about the Rams picking Sammy Watkins @ No. 2 anymore, it's all Robinson in every mock draft of late... And it could be just the way the Rams like it!

Where is everyone getting this LT stuff from? Like Fluker from last year, Robinson should live on the right side

That's why I said he should be on the right side. He actually looks like a right tackle to me more than a left. If and when long leaves then yes he can move to left. This would give the rams to premier tackles protecting Bradford. He should have no excuse to fail if they go this way.

Picking Robinson doesn't really help Bradford. Its just that the previous GM Devaney rebuilt all of the core positions (and failed at LT which is why he is gone) and the current GM snead developed the skill players and now we are left with a #2 pick and we are reluctant to replace any of those guys. The Robinson pick fits this GMs drafting philosophy but Robinson is a young pup who needs to be developed before he label him anything

I agree he played in a weird scheme which is why the rams make the most sense in he doesn't have to start at the premier position of LT but has some time to develop. Nothing helps a quarterback more though than a great run game taking the pressure off. Yes he needs to grow as a pass protector but the athleticism is already there. All the non-coachable things are present. Get him with some good coaching and watch out. Honestly though rams can go a lot of ways in this draft and not be wrong. They take Watkins and I will say good pick. They take any of the top 5 guys I would probably say the same thing.

Yeah, its basically the NBA draft philosophy with him, Bortles and Clowney. Odds are, 1 will bust pretty hard but the other two will have their talents shine through and dominate.
