Wiz, so you continue showing why you are an asshole. Nothing surprising. The funny thing is how you decide to spin this as if you are wearing teflon. As far as 2 over 6 vs 3 over 8, you do realize that I copied that from a convo YOU were having with another poster. It was not until another poster, STBR, actually corrected the numbers that you circled back as if you knew that mistake already. But you continue to be a dick about this point although, you too, were in the wrong. So if I'm slow, does that make you slow with a superiority complex? Btw, backtracking from your initial argument to then point out that it doesn't matter what round they are drafted in, because good players are good players, is absolute horseshit and has NOTHING to do with your original argument....more of a cop-out, bitch ass way to explain your original arrogant argument then directly giving your reasons why.
To then spin it into a dick wagging competition as to who drafted better overall is also a bit misleading because much of the Niners squad that have taken the Niners to the playoffs the last three years have been home grown players that have been drafted or picked up as UDFA, much like the Hawks. Look at our roster? How many impact players were bought vs. drafted? I'm guessing roughly around the same amount as your team. You guys won one more important game then we did during that time. Congrats on that. The rest of garbage you have continue to point in my direction is unnecessary.
You want to talk ball? Just talk ball. I asked a question as to why you thought a certain way and you decided to play internet tough guy and talk down your nose to me. You certainly wouldn't talk this way to my face so why do it over the inter webs? But I'm sure this will somehow test your manhood so you will go ahead and call me slow or special again as if it matters. Whatever tickles your pickle I guess.

Harold, just so that we are clear and for accuracy's sake, Baalke ran our 2010 draft war room because our GM at the time was a drunken mess and stepped down just before the draft. So credit goes to Baalke for the 2010 draft as well, although Harbaugh wasn't in the room. With that said,

1st Rd
A. Davis
Iupati

2nd Rd
Mays

3rd Rd
Bowman

With that knowledge, it definitely slides the scale a bit because now you are talking two Pro Bowlers and a 24 yr old linchpin at RT out of 4 picks as well. Our 2012 draft will probably go down as one of the worst in Niner, if not NFL, history for sure. But 2010, 2011, and 2013 (premature but many Niner fans agreed with many of the moves Baalke made in that draft) were solid if we are talking the first 3 rounds...which was the point to this back and forth. Leak it further back and you will also see key figures in the structure of our team were also drafted in the mid/late rounds. We found a majority of our Pro Bowlers in the first 3 rounds going as far back as 2005, you guys have done it with the back end of the draft for sure.

Doublejive, I agree with most everything you said in your initial post...including LaMichael James being a waste of a pick. I said that on draft day and he has done nothing to move me from that position.

lol@dred. Are you for real? I don't think I've seen anyone take words on a page so seriously in years. If you didn't punch your dog over this I'm sure you at least punched a wall. I mean are you for real?

The topic of this thread isn't one meant to have a friendly chat about anything. It was meant to laugh at your team and their issues this off season and their overall problems.

You seriously need to grow up, man up, and deal with it. Your 9'ers are not on top of the world and aren't on top of this division. Sorry, but that's reality. You can't take what is being dished out. Go fucking cry in your milk somewhere else. You just come off looking like a little pussy.

I've read what many of your ilk have said about Seattle and it's fans on your own board, and hell on the general and elsewhere. You know damn well if the shoe was on the other foot there would be 10x the shit flying at our fans than what is going your way right now just because of the sheer difference in population of both bases on this site.

Yeah, I like our people who will be picking draft picks more than yours. Why the fuck are you so shocked by that? I mean seriously? No team makes home run picks in every round. None. Do I like what our team has done overall more than other teams? You beat your ass I do and I'll take whoever they pick over yours all fucking week. It really doesn't matter how many are early vs late. Our team is better right now and will be better after draft day. It will stay better until your team gets a better QB. Welcome to the NFL.

You going to keep on being a pussy? Or grow up and take it and start acting like a man?

So now it's a fan base vs fan base argument as opposed to me asking you a question and you not answering?

Great "argument". :lame:

I'll look forward to some other bullshit response from you. Probably stating something else equally fucking stupid and off topic.

Reports were that Kaep and his agent were asking for at least Flacco money. 20+mil/5 years. :suds:

Regent, that may be true but to be honest, I don't believe those reports because a majority of them are just bullshit fluff. I think it would be safe to say that 15-18 mil per would be the general area based on what he has said and based on what other QBs from other contending teams who have stated to take less in order to keep a competitive team intact are making.

I've answered everything reasonable asked. All I saw in your last post was :bawling:

I'm not sure what part of I like the seahawks draft team over yours, or anyone elses don't you get? When looked at in total they have done a fucking outstanding job. We have pointed out where some of yours have been terrible too, but you won't deal with that. Instead you throw a tantrum like a tired two year old.

Want to talk ball? This isn't the tread. This is our laugh at you and your team thread. Try reading the titles. It will make things a lot easier on you in the future.

One of our own guys said it best. "This isn't Costco."

You SF fans can continue to live in fantasy land that a young player like Kaep nearing the end of his rookie contract is going take some massive discount to "help" the team. Dream the fuck on. He's expecting max money.

We may be living in fantasy land but there are plenty of SEA fans on this board that have said and halfway expected that to be RW's exact course of action when that reality came. Moreso of a problem now that he has won the Super Bowl but the original hope of fans remains despite that. Hope being the key word for BOTH franchises regarding their contract negotiations with their respective QBs.

Or you could be of the belief that "this isn't Costco" and then both QBs are possibly look for the most coin straight up, whether it be the Hawks/Niners or some other team looking for a "franchise guy".

So the idea of RW and/or Kaep signing for 20+ mil per over 5 yrs is just as plausible a scenario yet HOPING that both QBs do what we as fans deem as the honorable thing, which is the home team discount for the team that helped able their abilities to be showcased. :hope:

The truth is both sides being 'far apart' isn't unusual and doesn't mean anything. It's a negotiation. You'd have to be a dumb ass like Tate to do something to weaken your side. Kaep's agent has to know the 49'ers aren't giving him 20m and the team has to know he isn't going to sign for 13-14. At the end of the day if the team thinks they can win a lombardi with him they will settle on a number they can live with.

Until then it's just more fun to watch the drama from up here.

I'm not sure any fan could follow both players and not see the difference. I don't think RW ends up coming for something stupidly low, but if you are asking me would he take something less knowing it would allow enough cap room to keep Thomas and if he gets 20m they lose him I think many believe (right or wrong) that he just might take a little less. By little we mean 16 or maybe 17 at the lowest, but who knows.

You don't have to follow kaepernick long to see he is all about the bling and the show. He 'appears' to be the guy who wants what he thinks is due to him and would not take a dime less than he can soak out of them.

Until they both sign there is no clear answer to either, just opinions and fodder that fills in for conversation in the off season.

HAhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Yeah, Russel Wilson is really the type of person to put a couple millions of dollars above everything else, including putting tension between himself and the Seahawks.

Please provide a link to any of us saying whatever the hell "there are plenty of SEA fans on this board that have said and halfway expected that to be RW's exact course of action when that reality came" means.

True but the reason that I state what I state has SOME merit because Kaep has stated either towards the end of the season or just at the beginning of the off-season (paraphrasing) that he feels that there is a balance between getting fair market value for his services while also realizing his obvious need of quality teammates at a price as well.

He can look at Brady or Manning as top flight QBs getting paid around 15 mil with teams that will consistently be in the playoffs to help their legacies or taking the Brees/Flacco/Rodgers 20+ mil and watch the talent level, or at least the financial ability to sign or replace talent, fall away along with his chances of cementing a legacy for himself.

I could definitely see the other way as well, but based on words he has said, I have to believe it will factor in at some point. I would say his word has about as much validity as SEA fans' assumptions on how good a guy RW is. Fodder for sure, which is why I don't take reports seriously, especially in the off season to begin with.

I don't doubt that about Russell, but again, it's all assumption because you don't know him much less his thoughts on his contract situation. Maybe in talking about wanting to be the best, he wants to be paid like the best. Or maybe he wins a ring next year as well and says, it's my time to get paid because I have earned it. These scenarios, while somewhat unlikely (especially the first option), are still plausible.

As far as links, there was a discussion on the NIners/Hawks and upcoming contracts to players on rookie contracts who are obviously outperforming their contracts and what kind of compensation these players may possibly command. Pretty good content with comparisons to other players in position and respective salaries attached (like Sherman vs Revis salary or Aldon Smith vs. what Watt or Ware are making). If you want to dig, it was towards the infancy of this board. I'm not going to spend time searching for something you can just as easily find.

One thing we do know about Wilson is that money isn't what drives him. He proved that in spades as a very young man already. He turned down $1M to sign with the Colorado Rockies when he was only 18 years old. That says quite a bit about what kind of character he has. Not many 18 year olds turn down that kind of cheese.

I must admit, I find the two sentiments expressed above quite amusing. The Hawks fans in this thread have demonstrated the collective maturity of a ten-year-old boy. And the same level of insecurity.

I think you lost the thread of the conversation. Let me recap it for you:

Regent: SF fans are delusional if they think a young and promising player at the end of his rookie deal is going to take less money just because.

Dre: You're probably right, but many Seattle fans think Russell Wilson will take less money.

You: Hahahahahahahaha.... Russell Wilson, a young and promising player at the end of his rookie deal, is the type of guy to take less money. Please provide a link to Seahawks fans saying he will take less money.

Congratulations for proving precisely the fact that Dre was making, ironically enough while challenging him to prove his point. Positively brilliant.

I love when someone is trying to insult others and completely misreads what was said. He quoted that question and asked for a link to where someone said it and to you that is proof of what he said? :L

HE DIDN'T SAY HE THINKS WILSON WILL TAKE LESS MONEY. He asked for a link to a Seahawk fan who did.

Pretty sure that was meant to be sarcastic, indicating his belief that Wilson would, in fact, take less money.

But hey, let me throw in a couple emoticons. I hear that's what serves as "winning" an argument on the general boards.

Though if all he was looking for was a link to that opinion, he should have just looked at your post immediately above his own:

To be fair to Podunk, he probably didn't see your post before his own.
