Thanks.....it's been a long day, and I've been swigging on some vino to add to my lack of catching on.
Slack needed here.

Some things just never change:
SEATTLE -- Josh Hamilton's attempt to beat out an infield grounder with a headfirst slide into first base landed him on the bench for up to two months.
Ya know, if you get to first faster by sliding than running through the base, all the guys running sprints in the Olympics would be doing same.
Josh Hamilton gets a hang nail and talks his way on to the disabled list. Meanwhile, Adrian Beltre has his ball sack torn open and has to be tied up in restraints in the dugout to prevent him from going back out onto the field.
Hardcore diva vs. just straight up hardcore

The hardcore diva tore a ligament and is having surgery. So it's not a matter of handling pain, but about being incapacitated.
Not many JH lovers here, but your over the top on this one.
Yet he had 3 torn adductors (and almost a 4th)...and a torn abdominal muscle... and still almost won the Rangers a World Series title...
Folks this is nothing new to us. It's really hard to explain other than this is just Josh being Josh.
Great. He manned up during the playoffs one year for the Rangers. He also absolutely quit on them the following year during the final weeks, sitting out for "sinus issues" and "dry eyes due to too much caffeine". Now, sit there and tell me a warrior like Beltre would have also sat out for the same reasons.
It is WELL documented that on many occasions Ron Washington and Michael Young had to literally beg and coax Josh into playing when nothing was really wrong with him. So please spare me the "Josh has the heart of a champion" routine. Again, he's a diva and drama follows him around wherever he goes. It's always something with him, whether legitimate or not.
Beltre missed time with a stomach issue at the same time Hamilton was having sinus issues. For comparison purposes it might be better to compare Hamilton to somebody who has missed less time than Beltre, who is currently on the shelf...again.
Wow. Dude, it's called sarcasm. I thought that was pretty clear when I talked about Adrian Beltre being strapped down in the dugout. I fully realize that Hamilton did hurt himself this time. My point was that with Josh it's always something, whether legitimate or not. He misses a lot of time each season, and not always for reasons which would keep other players out of the lineup.
