Game Thread: Wisconsin vs. Kentucky

See I honestly don't think Michigan played their best game against Kentucky at all..

Maybe not their A game, but they played pretty well overall other than the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half. Just my opinion.

What game???? Wisconsin was the better team at the end of the season over Michigan and they were the better team for 80% of this game but the kid just made another clutch three. That's not playing a game it's just reiterating what happened.

Did Wisconsin win the B10 regular season title? Or the B10 tourney title?

And Michigan won at Wisconsin too.

I don't wanna get into that, but the fact was Michigan won the Big Ten outright by 3 games and then actually played WELL vs Kentucky and still lost. Wisconsin played really well tonight. Shot well, executed well, still lost as well. Who knows anymore. Kentucky is freaking legit.

That was earlier in the season when UW went cold and actually 5 players for UW caught a cold during that stretch. I would say the final game is more indicative of who the best team of a division is than an early season match up.

I am sorry my comment upset you though. It really is splitting hairs as to who was better down the stretch. I was frankly going off of who had the best record by 3 games in conference.

Even in these games, one less 3 by Kentucky and they lose BOTH games.

I never said it failed every time. However, It's a much lower % shot than if they run their offense as they have successfully for majority of the game.

I'm looking at other forums and I'm glad to see some Florida fans giving Kentucky shit over winning.. That's what I'd like to see.. I would have done the same thing to the white boys at Wiscy..

you are the worst. All the good badgers fans on here are the only reason I don't feel good about that loss for the badgers because I am pumped if, and there is definitely a question as to whether you are actually a wisconsin fan, you are sad by the loss

In fairness though, Wisconsin can't run their normal offense when there is 5.7 seconds left on the clock. They rely on moving the ball around on offense and finding an open shooter. Not run and gun style like North Carolina.

That's not my point. If you can make the money sure. My point is that you have a few schools, Memphis and Kentucky come to mind first, who have players whose only real connection to the school is playing basketball for one and maybe two years. Not saying it is against the rules, just saying that if you graduated from Kentucky can you really down deep be happy with this scenario. If winning basketball is your only goal than yes but it doesn't say much for the academic integrity of the school.

Upset? Records aren't always indicative of the better team. It's about who's playing the best at the end of the season. In terms of winning the NC it's about match ups/talent and coaching. I believe Wisconsin clearly proved they were the best team in the Big Ten (in terms of progressing in this tournament).

Played about as well as they could in the paint, but didn't hit nearly as many jumpers as they should have.

I disagree. The school is one business and cbb is another. Once you separate the two, you find UK is pretty good in both.

This is true, my point was BO will always call the same thing at the end of half's/games. Even when Jax was off the court and their was 45 seconds on the clock he still allowed the PG to dribble out the shot clock and chuck it.

Yeah, I guess I underestimate the number of fans of Kentucky and UConn. Still, that is only .01% or over 1 in 10,000.

If this was a 7 vs 8 that was 2 midmajors, there would probably be like 5.
