Penns comeing this week end

Hoping we sign him. I like Polumbus and think he works his ass off. But we need an upgrade at RT, and being in the tampa Market, Penn is not nearly as bad as Bucs fans would have you believe. Put him at RT and make Polumbus either beat him out or be the backup. Win win for the Skins.

I have to ask how it improves this team to pick up guys that bad teams are cutting?

You realize we were a bad team as well. Just because a team finished bad does not mean every player on the roster was a waste. Some times guys are just not a fit on a certain team. Some times teams let go of solid players for the wrong reasons.

So bad teams are letting all their good players go?

Dallas just let go of the only rush OLB that any one respected. they let the sack leader at the DT position sign with a division rival.

The Bucs just CUT one of the better corners in the NFL.

And we came within two hours and a coin flip of letting the best player on our defense hit the FA market.

So umm.. yea to a degree bad teams are letting their good players walk in some instances.

Ware is a bad scheme fit and was killing their cap.
Hatcher wasn't cut...he was a 32 year old FA.

Revis was killing TB's cap and did not perform to the level they wanted. They tried to trade him but his contract made that impossible.

Dallas could have reworked Wares deal and kept him.

Dallas could have gave Hatcher the same deal or close to what we gave him.

Tampa had the cap space to hold onto Revis.

All three guys were signed to new deals within 72 hours of either being released or hitting Free Agent status. Believe me if they were bad players they would not be getting a sniff from other teams.
