Pretty much. Before these moves were made they were projected to be 13-15 mill over the cap

This is what I'm wondering. I've heard that he's getting the franchise tag. Just not sure how much it is, or how much the Saints have right now. I'm gonna do some research and see if I can find a site where it shows team's cap situations.

There is a site called Over The Cap.com, or something close to that. They have good information over there on all the NFL teams.

I dont think any of these players like the franchise tag and I imagine he feels the same way. They want long term deals.

Found it. The tight end franchise tag is 6.8 million. I don't think he will like that at all. And right now, the Saints are just under the cap after all their moves. They still don't even have enough money for the tag. This situation is very pressing. The Saints need to figure out how to get further under the cap. Hopefully enough to sign Graham long term and still have enough for the players drafted.

That puts the saints at $124,027,010 or $3,768,099 under the cap if you include the $1,495,109 in rollover money. The saint's still need to cut some more if they want to resign a few of their FA(s) & improve their roster by signing other FA(s).

Graham will likely fight the TE franchise designation in favor of the WR designation. The difference is like $3-4 mil. I am not sure who will win that one. They need to just get a long term deal done.
