I like the looks of that Shaqdaddy!! I hope we can trade Nash and get something of draft pick value for him this year.

LOL. Glad I'm not the only one that's played with that before. Found that thing earlier this week and I may or may not have spent 5 minutes trying to land the #1 pick...

LA is right where they need to be to have any realistic shot at winning the lottery. You gotta be around that top 5 (bottom 5 depending on how you look at it). Anything else and its a statistical miracle. ESPN needs to work on that thing though. There's no way Embiid will drop to #3. I say there's an 80% chance at this point he's 1.

could be a risk...but I see Dario saric as the next big international player.

I've seen many games this kid has played. He reminds me of Hakeem. Retro, if we couldn't pull of a deal for Dwight Howard or Pau Gasol, we won't with Steve Nash as well. We are gonna just have to flat out cut him or hope he retires to get rid of him.

Scary thing about Embiid is that he has only been playing basketball for a few years. He still has a lot of growth potential.

I don't see things turning around for the Lakers this season, even with Kobe's eventual comeback. I can't see Kobe making much of a difference to the winning percentage. The Lakers are going to have a great draft position.

I played it and it had Lakers going #1 with Embid. IMO if lakers get #4 with utah/Philly/Bucks ahead of them, Embid is attainable. Utah need jabari or Wiggins with Kanter/Favors there. Philly already has jergens. could use a wing. Bucks already have Sanders could really use Wiggins/Parker./Randle more.
If Celts or orlando drafts ahead then Embid might be gone.

Looks like Embiid would fit well in D'Antoni's offense. If they are projecting him as an Olajuwon type, he could be devastating in it!!

:agree: Besides, I'm not convinced that Farmar's not the guy. I really liked how he was playing before he got hurt.

Nothing wrong with keeping Farmar and Marshall as our point guards for next season.

Especially if we can get a great pick and a healthy Kobe back.

From what I can tell on that video, he looks like a younger, more athletic Dwight!

And his a true 7 footer with a wingspan of 7'5, Dwight is really 6'10 & his offense sucks balls not post moves or foot works & we all know he sucks from the FT line, This kid Embiid would make a huge impact with the Lakers in the paint where we need help big time.

His footwork and big man instincts are way better than Dwight at that age. He's only been playing basketball for 2 years too. It amazes me he's showing this skill level so fast. At worst, I think he can be what Andre Drummond is now (defensive force, rebounding, ok offense) but his ceiling is HOF caliber. I've been on this kid since November. Maybe I'm just in love with the idea of what he could be and can't see his flaws but he's the player I most want. Losing sucks, but I'm willing to lose every game for the rest of the season if it would guarantees (it doesn't but still) we'd get him. Draft Embiid and make Kareem his personal coach is the best thing that could happen this season.

This might be crazy talk, but what if the Lakers keep Pau?

Here's my thought:

Pau has been playing well. The Lakers sign him to a 2 year deal for say $8-10 million per (less if possible). Draft Embiid, we get a healthy Kobe back and have a few keepers from the current roster. Might not be a contender, but would be fun too watch and a solid playoff team. Then the Lakers go after Kevin Love after next season (and now you have a contender).

Probably a pipe dream, but we've seen the Lakers pull of crazier moves.

I was thinking the exact same thing TJF12. If you remember, Pau played his best years when there was a dominant center in there and the pressure to be the go-to guy every night was not on him (excluding the fact that he was younger). I think if we get Embiid, both will benefit from the other. Bring in Love in '15 and we are looking pretty damn good.

That's the great thing about this draft, it's PACKED full of talent. Whether we get a big guy like Embiid or Randle, or a smaller man like Wiggins or Exum, if we get a top 5 pick and have less injuries next year, we'll be contending again.
