Do you have to run every thread off its tracks? This thread has nothing to do with Seattle or your inferiority complex. I won't participate in the childish back and forths.

The Packers, who earned the right to host a home playoff game with a come-from-behind win on the last day of the regular season, will have a sellout for its Lambeau Field game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday after fans and a group of corporate partners, led by Green Bay-based Associated Banc-Corp (ASBC) and including local Fox TV affiliates who will show the game, bought the remaining tickets.

The history of the game is irrelevant. Today's game is about the highest profit yield possible. Having your customer trudge around in 2 feet of snow is not conducive to the end result, money making. Back in the day people didn't have HD television, with every imaginable camera angle, and a better overall experience. So, though you may be correct that, historically, the league and it's players played in inclement weather, the league is straying from that to make the game more enjoyable for the fans.

You're right, let's force every team to play inside a dome, clearly history is irrelevant and it's now merely about profit. Let's get corporate sponsorships pasted across every available inch of each team's uniforms, because "today's game is about the highest profit yield possible." Let's drop the historical names and have teams called the Chicago Pepsis and the Pittsburgh Oxygen Networks. Let's stage everything for maximum TV revenue by scripting games like reality shows. Today's game is about the highest profit yield possible, and the history of the game is irrelevant, right? I'm sure every fan agrees with you, as well as the NFL leadership. You are a genius.

I have read two threads today and both had nothing to do with the Seahawks yet here their fans were, turning it into how great their team is.

If you have to talk about how great you are, chances are you're not that great to begin with

And who are these previous Packers that are playing for the Hawks?

How about your starting QB for the SB and former head coach in Mike Holmgren who were the foundation of the SB team and the start of the selling out of Seahawks games. They were basically unknown to the NFL until they arrived. Now Russel Wilson the Badger is taking over the helm. Basically majority of your success is due to former Packer coach/QB and now a Badger QB. You're welcome

Glad you're a longtime fan and season ticket holder but that has no relevance to my previous statements.

You are acting like a petulant child. Stop throwing a fit and be rational. I didn't mean history has no meaning. I am merely saying it has no bearing on the future. If you want to carry on with this childishness, be my guest.

I don't disagree with your premise, just that in reality it's moving in another direction. A direction most of us don't want.

Number of games sold out for Seahawks below 0?? NONE

You can talk about fair weather fans after you've sold out at least one game in this environment. Actually they probably haven't even played in below freezing temperatures.

See, now you've changed directions, so obviously my post was quite rational and informative. You stated, and I used your own words, "the history of the game is irrelevant." You also stated "today's game is about the highest profit yield possible." Perhaps you are now embarassed that you made those statements, I don't know, but those statements were in fact false.

Comparing a small meaningless message board is inferior to fan attendance, merchandise sold, total # fans, and fan attendance during poor seasons. You're most likely degrading your own fan base even more so since there were no Hawks fans on these boards 2 years ago.

Dude you know nothing about the Hawks then if you think just the Holmgren era started selling out games and RW is not a Packer never has been,i will grant one thing John Schnieder whom we hired from GB but really there is no players from the Pack on Seattles roster, now the Vike's and us have been swapping players for years.

I am not a season ticket holder by the way.

You weren't on these boards two years ago either.

The truth is that fans stick to their boards until they are relevant. Seahawk fans are guilty of it, and so are you. The Seahawks board was always one of the most active boards on ESPN for years and years, then when they became a main subject on the gen board, they started coming over here. Just like you guys are doing right now.

The Packers are 8-7-1. Yeah, we're totally front-running here.

My original point was to point out that you are entrenched in the past. If you can't comprehend that, that's on you. You could stand to learn a thing or two about context.

Well, you guys were barely here all year. Now there's a bunch of you. I said they were on their own board, but if you want to call it front-running more power to ya.

Matter of fact most of Hawk's has been built through the draft.
