I agree with the OP on Josh Gordon. He was over looked most of the season but not now. Also agree with Oldschool739 about Alex Smith. He isn't putting up great numbers but he is getting it done. That one guy named Jamaal Charles helps too.

Yet your second response was argumentative and nothing else. That's called trolling.

Bullshit. He's seriously overrated.

He gets mentioned as a top flight receiver far too much, and the idea is laughable.

You're the only one laughing though...we know you don't like the player, nothing wrong with that, but to ignore, or somehow minimize this kid's talent makes you look like a hater.

I'm gonna say Alex Smith.....Jimmy Jim bought the hype with Kopatrick and let his best qb go to KC....
Andy knows a good qb when he sees one and is known for getting the most out of them....

A. Smith was rescued off the scrap heap by Harbaugh...he was one more bad season from being booted. Whether he kept the right QB or not is still a debate imo, but I think he saved the guy's actually.

Yeah not sure you can argue whether he picked the right guy or not. Yes San Fran started out slow this year (missing what 2 or 3 of the top 3 or 4 receivers). Yes Kaep has looked lost at times. On the other side of that though they are now looking like one of the top 3-4 teams in the NFL with Kaep starting to play some of his best football of the year. He finally beat Seattle so he got that monkey off his back and the offense should only get better as Crabtree get's healthier and builds that relationship back up with Kaep.

Now that does not diminish Alex Smith as he has done an outstanding job this season and plays within his ability. I will say though having watched a lot more of his games this season with him being in the AFC West I will say Smith definitely does have his limitations and I really question especially come playoff time how much the team can really lean on him to lead them to victory. Both quarterbacks though are on top teams playing well right now so not sure you can really argue letting Smith go was a bad thing considering they got draft picks plus still a good quarterback at the helm.

The topic is about players that are overlooked......The rest was just my opinion, Kap hasn't proven to be a good qb yet, at this point he is the most insignificant part of that team.....Like Dilfer was for us....Not that their D could compare to our 2K defense but they do have far better receivers than we had back then....A solid balanced team doesn't need a superstar at qb for obvious reasons, so I am not at all a fan of the flash and dash qb's, they don't last long enough to accomplish what a pocket passer can....All they need is the ability to extend plays, not be the whole show......Greed = need...

OK, I can see Floyd.

He's going to hit 1,000 yards. It has to be tough getting the ball with Fitzgerald on the team so you have to make the most of every catch.

Nobody outside the East Coast and Dallas gets much press other than Peyton Manning but Staley is a pro-bowl pick is widely regarded on most football talk shows, pre-game shows and by fans as the top or one of the top LT's in football so I wouldn't say he's overlooked. I would also say to my fellow Seahawk fans to not include anybody on our defense. Everyone who knows anything about football knows who our guys on D are. Maybe not the LB's so much but our D-lineman are talked about just as much as our backfield LOB.

Most of the names being thrown out seem to be home team guys for you all that you feel are being slighted and that's okay but a lot of those names, I see and hear a lot about and I am living in the far north in the oil patch right now so it's just not true. Perception based on personal bias more than reality. The idiots at ESPN being the notable exception that skews that perception the wrong way.

Wouldn't this stand to reason if they truly are overlooked? I picked Daryl Smith (who as of this year is a Raven), but who I feel has been overlooked his entire career. Much of that has to do with being on the Jags. The Ravens were able to sign him to a 1 yr. / $1.1 mil contract. He has been nothing short of incredible for them taking over for Lewis.

He has been outstanding, yes and for that reason I expect him to be resigned.
