skinsdad is the best mod this board could have. An active and avid poster who is fair and doesnt take others opinions of himself to heart. What more could you ask for?

I was a combat engineer. You know the green army guy toys were everyone picked the guys with the rifles and threw away the green guy with the metal detector (for mines) that's what I chose to do. No job outside of the Army that works with defusing mines so I went with my passion of working with kids with disabilities as a Behaviorist.

I would like to help monitor or work as the MOD for the Penn State forum board if that is a possibility but need more info first. Plus just like this team forum it already has a good team spokesmen in LinebackerU.

I would start by talking to one of the PSU mods linebackeru, SFNL, cane_man, 24seven, TexasMan, Edisto_Tiger

Best part of being a mod is being able to edit posts without restrictions & keeping posts organized .... which is easy to do on the Wizards forum because I am the only one who posts there. lol. I've learned alot about embedding tweets, videos, pictures since the start of the season ... I decided why not just start my own blog.

Crowded boards, like this one & the politics board, mods have to deal with trolling and name calling all day & people complaining about trolling and name calling.

I'm going to turn your funny post and make it serious for a second to help everyone in life.

Not only kids with Autism have behaviors but everyone. Collecting data on behaviors and analyzing what happened before the behavior, then the behavior, then what was the consequence of the behavior.

Bananaman's main behavior was attention. He purposely disagreed with people not because that's what he believed in but because it would draw the most attention to himself. More negative posts will result in more people communicating with him trying to tell him how dumb he is, or how wrong he is but mainly the whole time it was just giving him what he wanted most attention.

Behaviors are normally because of 3 things. 1) Social Attention 2)Wanting Something 3) To escape or avoid a situation.

When you have a child and your making him or her do homework and they get mad and throw something. You normally punish them and send them to their room or a timeout. Now look at like a Behaviorist. You just gave them what they wanted. They didn't want to do HW, so they acted out and you sent them to their room which now they don't have to do any more HW. They did #3 on the list. They wanted to avoid the situation.

Behavior works on wives, husbands, kids, and animals. We all have behaviors. So when working with kids with Autism I first have to understand what the behavior are and why they are doing it, then I can show them how they can get what they wanted without having a negative behavior (hitting self or others) but easier ways to accomplish their needs.

Sorry for the boring paragraphs but just hoping it might help someone reading understand why others are acting the way they are.

Thank you. I am a Wizard fan but not as die hard fan as I am with PSU, then Skins, then was Orioles now Nationals (tired of Angelos not spending money), Capitals, then Wizards. I will try to stop by and post once in awhile
