Much like hole in one insurance for a golf tournament, I'm sure the dealer has this covered...probably at a fairly reasonable premium.

It's just a marketing gimmick, the dealership would take out an insurance policy covering the loss if it did happen, so they won't be out anything but advertising money.

I dont like businesses that use gimmicks period, it sort of goes against my base business philosophy. If you can afford the gimmick, even if it is just the cost of insurance and advertising, then you should lower your prices across the board by that much and pass that money on to your customers and by doing so you'll expand your clientele.

I don't think they should be able to take out insurance on stuff like this...if you want to make this kind of offer, you should be stuck with the consequences if it pans out

no I know, its just dumb...I want to see the scenario where someone make an offer like this, have it go the wrong way, then lose everything and have to turn tricks for truck drivers just to feed his kids is all, lol
