Is "Dexter" really that good? Never seen it.

The first couple of seasons were incredible. Season 3 not so much. And then season 4 was pretty damn good thanks to John Lithgow.

It's been all downhill from there.

Just saw that today they added An Idiot Abroad.

Haven't seen it, but have some friends that always talk about it. Guess I'll watch the first tonight. Hoping it is as good as the Top Gear specials.

This is Ricky Gervais' show where he sends Karl on fucked up adventures, right? I've seen a couple and thought they were pretty good. A little too scripted, but I end up not minding as its still very funny. Adding it now.

Anyone else people seem to think everything sucks or isnt worth more than 3 stars on Netflix? Take House of Cards, one of the best series ever made IMO....3 stars out of 5. I thought I was harsh before I started paying attention to the ratings on there.

Never pay attention to the star ratings… They are often very far off of what your opinion will be. I've watched 1-2 star movies that I liked better than 3-4 stars.

They have a chitload of horror movies, i'm a huge horror movie fan so I don't give 2 shits about any rating system. I mean some people would give Glee 5 stars, those people should be punched in the tongue.

Their rating system is garbage. I use outside sources to determine if I'm going watch a movie or show or not.

With enough votes, everything will end up near the middle. I'm no better; very rarely do I give out 1 or 5 stars.

The only reason I rate anything on there is so that it has an idea of what I liked and makes suggestions based off of that. If I'm just perusing for something new I never pay attention to what it's rated.

I'm the exact same way... I have seen just about every damn movie they have in their horror/thriller/suspensful categories. I wish I wrote down all the movies that I liked for reference/recommendation since there are some really bad ones on there.

I typically ignore star ratings unless it is 5 stars or 1 star. 2 stars typically tend to be about right, but if it is 3 or 4...most things are. If it has a 4.5-5 then I'll give it a shot. The difference are the shows that are Netfilx originals. I thought House of Cards was a 5 as well? I'll have to check. It is a bad assed show, but the one about the chick in prison...that show was fucking terrible. Watched 3 or 4 episodes to see if it would grow on me and it was just a whiny, lying bitch who didn't want to take responsibility for anything.

But shows like Archer that have 4.5 stars...spot on

Just heard tonight that Trailer Park Boys are filiming seasons 8 and 9 for Netflix only. HELL YEAH! There is a trailer (no pun) for season 8.
