Of course about 75-90% of HEAT fans will be bandwagon fans.

That is expected and encouraged. The NBA markets it that way on purpose.

The 1990s Bulls had more fans than the Beatlemania era.
By 2001, you could not find a single Chicago Bulls fan.

Even more recently, the Cavaliers had arguably the most fans around 2009.
Two years later, they had zero fans.

The NBA is a glitzy and glamor league.
It markets style and individual players.

If there is an individual superstar, the NBA will actively push fans towards that superstars team
No other sport actively encourages bandwagon fan than the NBA.

I would be stunned if there were not a ton of bandwagon fans.

it is the mission and purpose of the NBA marketing system.
