NBA owners alter Finals format to 2-2-1-1-1

This gives the Home team the advantage. In the 2-3-2 format only one crucial swing game was in their home when it should be 2. Games 5 and 7 should always be played on the team with HCA court. It sucked that in 2 of the last 3 years, my Miami Heat who had HCA had to play a crucial game 5 in a 2-2 series away from home. If they had this format in 2011, I think the Heat win game 5 against Dallas and probably win that series in 6.

Honestly the only reason why this was done in the first place was to help in the traveling for Boston and the Lakers every finals but since neither of those teams will be in it for decades to come....

Home field shouldn't matter that much it's still split 4 home games for the better team anyway. And heat should of won at home in game 6 if they are going to win the finals

You're an idiot if you don't think it matters. There's no reason for a key swing game 5 toever be on the team who doesn't have HCA. If HCA didn't matter in the NBA most teams should have about the same record away from home as they do at home
