Looking back I you can possible see Snyder's imprint all over the Shanahan era. Did Shanahan what McNabb or was it a Danny idea like some said? What about the Haynesworth deal, was Shanahan trying to show the upper hand to Snyder? Now the crap with Griffin. Some say Shanahan didn't want Griffin. Who knows, I hate all this sewing circle shit but it never ends. The one constant over 15 years is Snyder. Could be that Cerrato lasted so long because he played yes man to Dan's desires.

I used to kid with my friends who were Cowboy fans and say at least you are lucky and Jerry is old, we are screwed unless Dan gets hit by a bus.

Sadly, this is true. Danny will be around for decades. I doubt I will see the Redskins win another Super Bowl in my lifetime.

You know the answer it comes form your years in the Service to our Great Country. You have to have a Chain of Command Structure and it can not be broken except in extremely dire circumstances.

what i meant is the fan base has all those ideas running through their collective heads based on no real evidence anywhere . we need to let it play out before the judgements come

We don't know. All we know is snyders history with previous players he took a shine to and how he treated them and the access they had. It's been my experience that history tends to repeat itself. There is a pattern of behavior with Snyder that make this story ring true. Snyder doesn't get much of a benefit of the doubt with me.

Shanahan is gone. My concern is what team we have left, how deep does this rift run with the players and who will be our next GM and HC. If this turns out to be a rift with RG3 and some of the players, then we have a huge problem. Clearly shanahan has a camp among the players that support him. Some of them are our FAs that we need to resign (like Rak). These guys, as well as external FAs we might court may decide they want nothing to do with this soap opera. Then we end up with the FAs just looking for a big payday.

This is why Snyder has to deal with this situation swiftly, but professionally. No petty retribution. Don't allow this to be tried in the press. Offer a buyout to shanahan in return for a press blackout on the details. He leaves quietly and can persue other opportunities.

Chip Kelly having a good college offense has little to do with art briles.

But now that you mention it, I can't seem to think of any qb out of Oregon that has set the nfl onfl re under chip Kelly. Admittedly, I don't follow college football at all.

Was chip Kelly there when Akili smith was there?

Art Briles may be a terrible coach, or an awesome coach, but he probably coached one qb well enough to win a heisman...

You are right skinsdad and we may never know but we do have several things to base our fears on. So far I don't see anyone on here saying it did happen. Snyder's long history of playing favorites with certain players. There is a history here and there is no reason to believe it isn't possible.

Welcome to football in 24 hour a day sports online, radio and TV. I don't like it but one thing many of us have been saying is we don't want to go back to the years when Snyder and Cerrato were around. One of them still is around and maybe things didn't change as much as we thought they did. Joe Gibbs and Mike Shanahan never had a 4 year stint in their coaching career as they did under Snyder .... that might be a mouthful right there.

In today's 24/7 news climate, if there is any truth to the idea that Shanahan actually didn't want RG3, then we are officially a mess again. because no credible coach is going to want to step into this. Personally I think we are a mess no matter what at this point. the locker room is clearly divided. The coach is all but fired at this point. And the only things we know wont change are the owner and the QB. And a player having input over who the coach is or should be is always a bad starting point.
